Well they were better than us so it was warranted then, wasn't it. They almost took the world champs into ET if not for a fluky own goal and outplayed them the whole game too.

62% possession Japan, yeah they sure outplayed them...

Shooting your mouth out is never warranted.
62% reflects Japan's technical ability with the ball. I'd call it even in the first half and a definite advantage to England in the second half. No Japanese attack really looked threatening until the one Bassett put in her own net, while England hit multiple posts and Japan's possession was often in their own half.
Both coaches were guilty of talking trash. You presumably did not hear what Japan's coach said before the game, because your comical dislike of England is getting in the way of actual fact. If it's trash talkers you don't like then you shouldn't like Japan either.

Kadeisha BUCHANAN (CAN)
Ada HEGERBERG (NOR)
Jiali TANG (CHN)
Golden Ball winner for me was unquestionably Johnston prior to the last game, now it's a bit less clear.
Hergerberg centered a very competent and experienced Norway front line and still managed to standout, while Buchanan was for me our best defender. It's a tough call for this award, but on a tournament all-star team I'm taking Buchanan on defence but wouldn't consider Hegerberg up front.
