Yeah, Prust has turned into a total d-bag with Montreal. Enough so that he can make up what Vancouver lost both in Kassian and Burrows.
Beyond that though, WTF is Vancouver thinking here?

Kassian is still young enough to turn into a top 6 power forward. He does have good tools and of course the frame. Bertuzzi took way longer to develop than first thought. I have a strange feeling Kassian will do very well in Montreal.
What on earth is vancouver thinking and doing? Increase in cap, a fourth liner at best and 10 years older plus they add a pick? Crazy crazy crazy

Agreed. It's really an awful trade for Vancouver.

I know people have love for Prust around here due to his time on the Flames, and we all have bonus hate for anyone in a Canucks jersey, but getting Prust is not a "win" here.

Wasnt Kassian in rehab for most of last year? Anyways adding Prust will likely turn some refs against the Canucks next year

Prust also had some really stupid comments during the last lock out. I've disliked him since then, and will have no problem hating him as a canuck.

Zach Kassian sounds perfect to match up against Ferland.

I see HF Canucks has the official "Fire Benning" thread collecting steam. Can't blame them as what he's accomplished in two offseason are as puzzling as I can remember from an organization. Literally have no idea what they are trying to do as you think they are rebuilding but they take on a guy like Prust for a younger, cheaper better player. He's making Gillis look like a genius.

Proof that some of you do not see very much OHL games. Kassian will never be a top 6 PF, he is the dumbest player I have ever seen. I can't count the number of games he cost Windsor with his stupidity, especially in the playoffs.

The Canucks are making all the wrong moves. The classic case of a team needing to get younger, deciding to go the other way. But its not like they are making huge splashes or anything to try to stay competitive either. Prust does nothing to make the Canucks better now or in the future, even over a guy like Kassian.
That team is set for a massive drop that could last years.

Benning looks like hes making GM decisions with some combination of a Yahtzee Cup a Ouija Board and a Magic 8 Ball.

TSN just aired some clips of people reacting on their Vancouver radio station, and it was brutal. One guy did a list of what Benning's brought in and what he has sent out, and yeah. I can definitely see why they want Benning fired. He's becoming the new Kevin Lowe.

Wow, fans are freaking out in Vancouver over this trade and trashing Benning over deals the last few years. They just showed a clip on NHL Network in the U.S. of fan calls into the radio station and fans are frustrated.

They may as well just trade the Sedins, because as it is, they are probably battling Edmonton for 5th in the division right now. Even Arizona is going to rice past them before Vancouver bottoms out at this rate.

Man, to think how highly touted Benning was last spring, and many of us hoped he'd be hired by the Flames.
He seems just terrible so far. I hope that keeps up.
