Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Grant's deal with Flames $700,000/$250,000 with a $325,000 guarantee.

46 contracts now, including unsigned RFA's

I'd imagine a body or two will be moved out by training camp though.

Reinhart
Arnold
Grant
Elson

Stockton centers as of now.

Pretty similar to Ben Hanowski.

Sounds like a defensively responsible bottom 6 forward. Help for Stockton, maybe an injury call-up#10.

Not that it matters against the cap or anything but surprised they'd give a guy a fairly big AHL money when he's not a big scorer.

SCOUTING REPORT

Assets: Has great size for the center position. Is solid in his own end of the ice, and he also offers plenty of grit and determination. Is also good on face-offs.

Flaws: Doesn't have a high level of skill, so he should be reduced to bottom-six forward duty at the National Hockey League level. Also needs to fill out.

Career Potential: Versatile depth forward with physicality.

They probably would have a hard time attracting anyone given their forward depth.

They likely had to overpay to get an AHL veteran.

Probably for Stockton, but it doesn't mean the decision was made quickly
