Doesn't even seem like that much of a raise. Was getting paid $3.3 mill this year, so only $1 mill more.

I'm pretty sure Belesky will get a higher AAV from someone today also.

Back to back 42 point seasons, nice. For comparison, our potential 2nd line guys from last season scored ~30 points. Add the 2-way game and yeah, sounds like the kind of guy we want. The smallish size is a bit of a worry though.

It's nice to be on the map for UFA:s

I'm not surprised... Do they ever like anything Calgary does?

The TSN panel are just pissed because the majority predicted that the Jets have the best chance out of the Canadian teams to win a cup in two years.

If I remember correctly, they said the Flames overpaid for Hudler as well. Anyone still regretting that signing?

Giordano has a contract until next summer.

Still have 7 million in cap space left with Buoma, Ferland Shore and Byron to sign. Summer just started, could see players moved out too.

Yeah the thought going in was 5x5.

Decent deal IMO.

Replaces David Jones moving forward.

The panel is out to lunch if they think thats too much. I was worried it was going to be north of $5M because of UFA Silly Season, but barely more than $4M?

I wouldnt want to run into Treliving in a dark alley, that man is a mugger!

He's 6'1, 200lbs. I wouldn't call that smallish.

well, the Hockey Central guys liked the signing...liked the numbers and thought it was a fair contract and that Frolik would fit into the system here...

Ton of depth, gotta think Treliving will start stockpiling 2016 picks at some point.
Ferland, Byron, Jooris and Shore won't get huge raises. Probably Bouma will get between 1.5 and 2 million.

The Flames will actively try to move Raymond and probably Bollig I would think Stajan might be movable as well.

I honestly thought he was older but at 27 the term doesn't bother me at all.

Term is too long and would have prefered a 3 year deal.

Dollar amount makes the contract easy to trade later on in the deal. Not too worried at all.
