July 1 deals always make me nervous, hopefully the dollars are reasonable.

Apparently, Emma Stone is today's .gif of choice to express how I feel towards the Flames acquisitions/trades.

With a signing like this - everyone remember the Hudler deal. I think this has that sort of potential.

Default Flames sign RW Frolik to long term deal

What's the book on Frolik? What do we know about his game/style? Haven't followed his career at all.

Very similar to Hudler deal prior to joining Calgary.

Sign him when hes 27-28, RW was putting up about .55 PPG. Czech player

another big possession player added to the fold.

Will be interesting to see how Hamilton and Frolik change those numbers. They certainly have some support in Backlund, Brodie and Giordano.

Thought he was older, 27 is good for long term. Impressed. He should be on a line with Ferland, the MF'ers.

Love this signing, this was the only guy I was hoping we would go after. Always thought Frolik was an underrated guy who still has more to show. Excellent!

Love it, bu hope his means we get rid of some of the deadweight on this team. Especially since it's likely to be an overpayment

Also worth noting that Frolik, like Hudler, is comfortable playing both wing positions. Gives some flexibility. I believe he played right most of last year, but prefers left if he had to choose.

I think Frolik is very comparable to Hudler when we signed him a few years ago. I really like the signing. If it is at a high price, I think that he'll prove that it is worth it (like Hudler did)
