3 years at $4.5M for a 35 year old Beauchemin doesn't seem great. Isn't he already too slow?

Good pick up for the Avs. Desperately needed real defensemen and got two in a few days. One older, physical, and experienced. One young, skilled, and promising. Throw in Tyson Barrie and they have the makings of a halfway decent defense.

Contract is good. Decent value for what Beauchemin brings and not too much term for an older player.
