It provides a similar service as PayPal.
For those who have used Neteller how do you like it? Anything I should look out for? Any hidden fees? What deposit option did you recommend?
Any help would be appreciated.

I've used it for online poker in the past.
I haven't used other services, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but it seemed like a pretty good service.
I deposited by credit card and it was pretty smooth, but withdrawing was a bit of a pain. You either have to set up a link between your actual bank account and your neteller account or pay three bucks for them to send you a check. I just swallowed hard on pay day and took the three bucks on the chin. The check arrives in about ten days, which is reasonable I guess.
Overall pretty pleased with the service, but then again I haven't used PayPal or others so who knows.

They are a Calgary based company if that makes you more comfortable.

Ya, I noticed that the address on the envelope said Calgary. Thought it was their Canada office or something though.

I have an account that I use when I play at BetOnGames.com, what I did is I went to Superstore and opened a bank account at President's Choice Financial (Superstore bank by CIBC), it's a free account so that means no fees, then I put $20 in this account and beam $10 to Neteller, which in turns converts it to USD and beam it to BetOnGames for me to play with, I of course made that infamous $5 US bet on the Flames to win the West in Sept '03 when the payout was 50-1, so after I collected my $250 USD and beamed it back to Neteller from BetOnGames (took 2 days), I then beam it back to my PCF account from Neteller (4 days). So pretty much a week later I got the money in my PCF account, which you can bank with online just like any other bank or use the CIBC bank machines. Took out the cold hard cash from the CIBC machine and deposited it back to my primary bank account. Voila. Not a cent was paid in fees other than what I lost through the exchange rate. Overall I'm very impressed with this service, because you don't have to give out your credit card like PayPal. Only problem is that it is harder to close your account unlike PayPal which only takes 3 clicks, but I plan to use this again anyways and I'm not afraid of anything being stolen because I only have a nickel in the PCF bank account, which I regularly make $20 deposits in & out of so it doesn't go dormant. Just make sure you don't have anything to lose in the first place and you'll be fine. Their customer service is alright, but it's best that you don't lose your secure ID number and your password because they ask you a lot of questions if you forget, I did once but I got it fixed just fine after a couple calls.
I hope that helps and it didn't bore you to sleep haha

Oh and always take the free option when you're beaming the money back to your bank account, they have several fancy schmancy options that charges you, read the description of each one carefully before you click! (I think it's the EFT option that is free, and takes a few days)
Also BetOnGames.com, if you ever use it, only allows one free withdrawl per month or else they charge 20% or something, so yeah I only did that one withdrawl anyways and it didn't cost me anything, but this has nothing to do with Neteller lol...

Thanks for the info. Opening a separate bank account is probably a good idea.
