			I'd be interesting if the Avs put in a huge offer for Tarasenko, then do a deal to rid themselves of a bit of salary from elsewhere.

Last night, Steven Stamkos set and NHL record for goals scored in a single game, in the shortest amount of time, when he lit up the Calgary Flames for a total of eight goals over a two minute span in the third period.

			Rumor on Twitter that the Oilers and Blues are talking about a Yakupov for Oshie swap. Adam Nightingale I believe was the first to report it. Not sure if it has any merit or not but interesting.

Hopefully not, because;

 A) That's a good deal for the Oilers, and;

 B) I'm still holding out faint hope that the Flames can make a deal for Oshie.

Would be a great deal for Edmonton in my opinion. Yakupov seems like he needs a fresh start and Oshie is they type of player they need.

			Presumably Oshie does not have any sort of NTC? Nobody is waiving to go there, especially now that Katz has been revealed to be a quasi-stalker.

			Yeah I don't think it has legs yet because nobody I've heard of has reported anything but thousands of people are tweeting about it right now on Twitter. Thought it was interesting mentioning.

			I don't know how great that trade would be for the Oil. Oshie has 1 year left then UFA. Yakupov has some potential

			David Staples of the Edmonton Journal tweeted that Cody Franson going back to Toronto is what he is hearing is likely from NHL insiders/sources.

Makes a ton of sense. He loved it there. Very publicly, and the Leafs were having immediate buyers remorse when they made that trade.

Oshie is signed for two more seasons.

			My proposal:
 To STL:
 Dennis Wideman
 B Prospect (Reinhart, Agostino, Arnold)

 To CGY:
 TJ Oshie

 Stl needs another body on D as they only have 5 players signed. Cgy of course needs an upgrade in the top 6. Flames would be shedding some salary therefore they need to add a prospect.

 Or swap Russel in for Wideman if STL wants to shed some salary

Not sure the Blues would be interested in bringing either (Russell/Wideman) back to STL again.

Maybe Wideman for entertaining SO attempts.

			I don't get the desire to move Wideman so soon. With him we have arguably the best blueline in the NHL. Without him we're back to where we were last year.

Wideman @ half the ice time won't be as good... lots of players say they are able to get into the game if they play more minutes. No secret him, Engelland et al played way better when their minutes went up.

Also .. trade while his value is at its peak. He won't be a Calgary Flame in 366 days.

I half agree with this due to his contract status, but I'd only move him at the deadline if we have a bad year next year. One of our biggest problems last year was depth on defense and now we have it.

Unless he gets run out of town he will be. 2 years left.

Personally I don't see any reason to reduce his ice time significantly. 56 point seasons are no joke, you want to maximize his offense with O-zone starts, PP time and put him out there with the 1st line etc.
