I'll be honest. I was onboard with the Hartley hiring, but wasn't so sure about Gelinas or Cloutier. Crow in my face because Hartley staff has blown my expectations out of the water. Very very glad to see that Treliving didn't bring his own staff and was willing to work with what we already had.

Darren Haynes @DarrenWHaynes 17m17 minutes ago Flames have signed the rest of the coaching staff to multi-year extensions. When your lead singer wins a Grammy, you keep the band together.

Both assistant coaches are great guys - I think we miss sometimes on how important they are to the players - they are always there to pick them up after Hartley has been hard on them about a missed assignment or poorly placed stick.
I really hope Gelinas still gets to lift a SC in Calgary!

You get a contract, you get a contract, everybody gets a contract.

Flames have a strong organization top to bottom. Happy to see these fellows retained.

It's gonna be kind of bittersweet when the day comes that Conroy leaves to get a GM job
Unless Burke retires, Treliving goes up, Connie gets promoted

Is it Treliving's daughter's wedding day or something?

Connie gets promoted then Iggy becomes assistant GM when he retires?

Not a fan of handing management spots to former team players. One is ok. But Conroy and Iggy, together, not sure. What if he ****s up, you've gotta fire a legend, or sheepishly keep him around to get coffee like they do in Edmonton.

I like Conroy, but I wouldn't want Conroy to be the GM of this team. Maybe after 10-15 more years of experience he might be ready, but he's far from that at the moment.

Conroy seems like too much of a nice guy to be a GM.
