Green would look good in Detroit with a bit more of a sheltered role. Their system (assuming it doesn't change entirely with the coach) would fit him well.

Funny how there's been practically no rumblings about Glencross. I'm sure there are teams kicking tires but its weird to have zero tweets/speculation/etc. about him. I mean I know he didn't do well in Washington and he's injury prone but still, nothing?

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Teams possibly trading goalies: NYR (Talbot), OTT (Lehner), VAN (Lack), LA (Jones). Teams possibly trading for G: BUF, CGY, DAL, EDM, SJ.
Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
All those teams also monitoring negotiations for pending UFA G Devan Dubnyk and MIN. In any case, Talbot deal likely catalyst for run on Gs.

Latest on Dubnyk. He wants 8 years from the Wild:

I'm told they're not far off money-wise. Wild has gotten up to the low $4 million range. Dubnyk is willing to come into the high 4s.
I do think term is the biggest issue. Dubnyk is asking for bigtime security (many years, maybe the max eight, I hear) and the Wild likely doesn't want to go more than four years and probably prefers three.
We'll see if Dubnyk budges.

Mid 4s seems about right to me. But on a 3-4 year deal.

Larry Brooks @NYP_Brooksie
On other news, told that Marty St. Louis not ready to retire. May be some mutual interest in/from Devils, Penguins. Not coming back to NYR.

St. Louis is one guy I just don't give two craps about. I have lost so much respect for that guy, from his comments about "how good it feels to beat the team that gave up on me" from 04 to pulling a cry baby WAHHH WAHHH routine with Yzerman at the Olympics.
Just retire so I never have to hear your name again.

Craig Custance ✔ @CraigCustance With Lucic trade, Kings won't be able to sign Andrej Sekera so he'll hit the market. It was a major consideration for them. They like him.
It would be awesome if we could get him too.
Giordano - Brodie
Sekera - Hamilton
Russell - Wideman

I'd rather keep Engelland and use the money to sign Hamilton and the group that comes up next year.

Sounds like Dubnyk is close to a 6 year ~25 million dollar deal with the Wild

I know you're joking, but yuck, no thanks. Would much rather see the team split those minutes between Bouma and Ferland.

Glencross will get paid. There are not many LW UFAs who have scored 20 + goals this year.
Also, for a team who wants to raise its profile in their market, few players do more off ice than Glencross does. I suspect it will be Arizona.

The biggest goalies are now off the FA block. Hiller's value likely went up in trade talks.
Hoping the Flames can reel in a really good 20-26 year old productive RW.

So who are you guys targeting? Green, Sekera, Franson, Williams, St. Louis, Frolik, Tlusty, Vermette, Ward are some of the big names.
Hopefully Treliving can work his magic once again and get a steal of a contract.

I think it's safe to say the Flames won't be looking a D men. Frolik, Tlusty as FA's but hoping they target good RW's in trade.

Won't be targeting any D imo. Gio/Brodie/Ham/Russell/Wideman/Wotherspoon/Nakladal plus the other prospects.
Hiller won't get a young RW; maybe a 5th-6th round pick imo.
I'd target Drew Stafford and Frolik.

Agreed. Top-6 wing is what we need to be looking at in the next couple days.
