@FriedgeHNIC: Meanwhile, you can add Khudobin to the goalie market. With Lack now there, he is likely to be moved.

I wonder if the legend of Eddie lack's dad will get as much CBC TV time in Carolina?

Yep, they're not pleased.

While a 3rd and a 7th may not seem like much at first... yeah, it's really not much at all. The average value of the 3rd round pick the Canucks are getting is roughly equivalent to a "good minor leaguer" and a 7th round pick is essentially a scratch and win ticket. It's more likely than not that Vancouver sees absolutely zero NHL value in return for Lack in this deal.

With that return, what was the point? I get they need to make a decision on Markstrom but that return is embarrassing.

Queue stupid Canucks gif.

It's amazing. I thought Benning was going to be an amazing upgrade for the Canucks. So far he has underwelmed. I really like how things are going in Vancouver! Lol

Now bieksa will get traded for a 3rd and a 5th! Lol

Damn, maybe Vancouver is targetting David Jankowski... It makes sense they would want a 3rd rounder.

It's not bad. There isn't a lot of difference between the top 5. Matthews is the top guy but he will be challenged. Overall it's a decent draft with not a lot of gaps between guys. This year will probably determine those gaps but as of right now there isn't any.

NHL.com just reported it's actually 2 thirds - one this year and one next year. They're probably wrong, though, it's nhl.com.

Nhl.com reporting a 3rd round pick in this draft and a 3rd round in next year's draft...?

NHL Network coverage saying it's a 3rd Rounder next year. That's better than a 7th.

I don't think that's good value for arguably the best goaltender in their organization but this is the Canucks and Jim Benning is going to crash and burn that team into the ground his way.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
