That would be a bad move. That might be a lottery pick, I like where we are going but lets not pull a Burke here.

I wonder if we see Wideman traded today for a pick in the 20-30 range?

i'd say it worked just fine.
It was adequate. But that pairing (well, moreso Wideman than Russell) cost us so many of those leads that got us into holes early in games all season. They really did pull through the last few months though.

Hope not, we can maximize his value at the 2016 deadline if we really want to ship him out.

Wouldn't mind 24 and snagging Guryanov. I do so want this to happen.

Have no problem keeping Wideman unless an offer is too good. In 2 years flames will need a guy like Wideman at the deadline for a playoff run, so why overpay then.

Wideman in your bottom pairing is a waste of salary imo. You can't pay that kind of money for a 5. Plus engelland is also a righty so if brodie stays on the right... One has to go.

Sooner is better imo before teams have used up all their cap

Id say

Brodie-Hamilton (1A pair 22 minutes a night)
Gio-Wideman (1B pair 22 minutes a night)
Russell-Engelland (16 minutes a night)
Wotherspoon

Keeps them fresh.

From multiple sources, TOR & LA engaged in a very large trade discussion... More to come

David Pagnotta ‏@TheFourthPeriod 1m1 minute ago
Phaneuf involved in Leafs/Kings discussions. Richards may be part of it going back. If so, Leafs expected to buy him out.

Sounds like Hiller & Ramo are on the chopping block, Ortio is the back-up, Flames are apparently shopping for a new goalie

More assets would be involved in trade, if both Leafs & Kings can finalize... Certainly sounds like it's going that way, but we shall see.

David Pagnotta ‏@TheFourthPeriod
Can also say Kings captain Dustin Brown is not part of discussions.

Leafs have also discussed Phaneuf with San Jose, I'm told. But those discussions derailed earlier in the day.

Nothing big is going on between LA and Toronto. Don't believe everything you read, Kings fans. Go enjoy your Friday night.
