Craig Custance @CraigCustance
Bob Hartley said he watched a lot of tape of Dougie Hamilton when it became apparent he was available. Thinks he fits what they do perfectly

Unrealistic.
i saved in be a gm with today's date (ie. day of draft).

I couldn't get the deal to work, so had to get rid of a contract (moved a c level prospect for a 7th pick) and had to throw in smid

True in a way, but also not. Moving Lucic out opens up room to sign Hamilton. They had other options rather than getting destroyed in the Hamilton trade. If they are rebuilding, trading Hamilton makes even less sense than shipping off other guys.

Quick, now think of a good young solid Natural RW the flames can nab in a trade.

Fantastic trade for the Flames, excellent value.

As a Flyers fan first, it still pissed me off they drafted Couturier over Hamilton when there was a big need for D. Glad he ended up on my second favorite team though.

This is so awesome! I have to volunteer tonight at a Bingo and was going to stay glued to CP to see who the Flames pick. I think Brad isn't done yet though.

I like Treliving, now...
Good day to be a Flames Fan...
Finally a trade that feels like a big win, cannot remember the last time it felt like that.

Bruins fans must be feeling as bad as I did when the Flames traded Al MacInnis for Phil Housley & two 2nd's

Following the trade, Brian Burke was seen giving his only recorded man-hug in history to Brad Treliving. He held on a little too long.

Kind of surprised the Bruins didn't want Hickey.
