I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Yep, makes more sense when you put it like that. Probably a decent chance that Hanifin makes the NHL with the Bruins as well if thats what transpires.

Crazy good deal for the Flames.
Congrat's!!!
And where better to move Dougie than to Chiarelli's new rival.

"Wait, Dougie Hamilton is young, inexpensive to sign, AND absurdly talented?
Get him off the team right the hell now"

finally, the Flames fleece someone in a trade! Even if it wasn't a fleecing, what a fantastic use of assets gained from other teams... Baertschi and Glencross? Treliving did great here.

I literally cannot remember the last time the Flames bent over another team in this fashion, like what happened just minutes ago.

I will savor this moment all of the summer

John Shannon @JSportsnet Sources for both the club and the player say it will not be a problem for Hamilton to sign long term deal in Calgary.

I don't see how a 22 year old defenceman isn't part of a rebuild plan though? Unless they already have a deal in place for the 3rd overall, this is baffling. If cap was the issue, why not move Chara, Krecj, Seidenberg, etc...

Krug and Hamilton looked like the perfect pair to rebuild around...this is baffling to me.
