I think we play Brodie on the left side...

Giordano-Hamilton
Brodie-Wideman
Russell-Engelland

Assuming we don't move Wideman/Russell to get a late 1st.

Wow. That is a fantastic deal for the Flames. I can't believe no other teams offered more for Hamilton.

The only way this makes sense is if he is asking for $8 million a year.

Swap 14th, 15th and 45th to Phoenix for #3 and draft Hanifin (who may end up being the next Hamilton anyway)? Seems like a reasonable strategy.

Reading through the thread on the Bruins HF page. First few pages they are all hoping for Gaudreau +, or Bennett +.....

Yikes. Haven't got the part of the thread where they see what the return is. It's going to be ugly, the reactions.

I was thinking the same thing. How did they not sweeten the deal?

I'm guessing that Chiarelli was the deal breaker.

How on earth did Treliving convince Sweeney this was the best deal out there?

The thing that bothers me is giving Hamilton the kind of money he's asking for.
too much joy happening too fast to even read your possession and pessimistic babble!!!!!!!

There has been speculation that Sweeny & Chiarelli did not part as pals.
Sweeny wasn't gonna do Chiarelli any favours.
Crazy good deal for the Flames.
Congrat's!!!

And to be honest, even if he is, Flames probably pay it.

As Gio fades out over the next half decade we transition into Brodie and Hamilton as a top pair. Elite teams need elite top pairs.

Foreshadowing when Burkie said Treliving would skin someone alive if the opportunity would present itself.

It now has and he did.

Dougie frickin' Hamilton for magic beans.
