Coyotes GM Don Maloney said one team offered him a pair of mid-first round picks and a player Wednesday evening for the No. 3 pick.
Jets hold 19 and 25. Seems to be the only team that might fit that bill.

Is ROR's contract being so high a by product of the Feaster offer sheet? Was that Feaster?
Something like they had to match the value of it in the following contract? Or am I out to lunch here.

Yes, that was Feaster. O'Reilly's QO was 6.5 or something like that at the end of the CGY offer sheet.

No he won't. I think he just wants to go to UFA and be done with the Avs. I think he gets 6M at the end of the day.

2015/2016 Trade Speculation and Rumors
ROR to Buffalo makes a lot of sense, especially if they end up buying out Hodgson. They could probably offer one of their many young defensemen and the 31st OA for his negotiating rights and Colorado would likely take it and run.

No it wouldn't be a good contract, but the big summer UFA deals never are.

David Clarkson got $5.25M per year on a long term deal. What makes you think a good, 25 year old two way centre won't get at least $7M as an unrestricted free agent?
