CP Mafia 4 - The Unknown Host - Game Over!

I checked in last (real time) night when the day started, and I've been mulling it over at work. Just catching up now while my kids are in the bath...

The Squiggs/Oling debate. At first I thought was just a pissing match so I mostly ignored it. But then Oling made a slip that made me suspicious when he said he didn't suspect Squiggs at all, but then a very short time later said Squiggs was in his top 4 suspects. I thought the Squiggs explanation about leaving Seb off his confirmed town list seemed legit - he wasn't interpreting the Mazrim comments the same way as most of us and/or just didn't want to put Seb as confirmed town. Reasonable. I never really put Oling on my confirmed town list even though lots of people did.

Now that Seb has flipped turned, the debate does seem to be cast in a new light, and one that's more negative (scummy) for Squiggs, and more positive (townie) for Oling. So pretty much the opposite of how I interpreted everything yester-game-day.

I truly believe the key to this whole mystery is mrkajz44
I did not like his jump on Devo
I also did not like bizaro's jump off Devo
It seems plausible to me those two decided to switch in agreement
bizaro had to many townie lynch votes
mrkajz did not have any and needed one to seem like a fail-able townie

I made it clear why I voted for Devo - I wanted to avoid a no lynch. There was about 10 minutes to the deadline and I just got back to my computer. Bizarro had just jumped off, so I made a quick decision that I didn't want anything funny happening in the last ten minutes:

As for my "most polished" post - I still don't really get what people are talking about. The re-read with Oling's thoughts in mind really changed my view on things and the other instances of when Squiggs appeared to know more than everyone else were easy to recall. I'm not sure what else to say about that.

Has Olings approach changed overnight?

Could he have been turned last night? His level of zeal is pretty high today more so than other days. The town had for the last few days accepted him as not turned.

I also have my doubts on Seb but, like GGG pointed out, he's playing similar to me last game where I was just an annoying townie. He's not in my top 3 list of scum. Right now mine are, in no particular order, Peanut, Lego & mrk. I might put bizarro there as well given ECF's death post.

Maybe I am looking for something that isn't there, but why did you say quick topic thread. I was scum last game, but I wouldn't have remembered it was "quick topic".

The site is called quicktopic.com. I can post the link to the death one from Smash Bros but I'm not sure if that's against the rules of the game since external things aren't allowed. They are posted in #5338 of Smash Bros.

For things that amuse only me, Pux does the eff you Oling at the end of that game and does it again in this game at the start of Day 5.

I didn't remember it was called quick topic from the host thread last game, so I'm a little surprised you remembered it.

You could have just said it was in the first post from Mazrim, I just went and looked now.

Not really, I was leaning town for Squiggs so I'm going back and reading his posts again. I didn't remember it was called quick topic, and after I posted the question I saw it was in the first post of the game.

We really need a host lynch today so I'm being extra diligent because I haven't really looked closely at his posts.

Or the settlement date for May production is June 25th, so I have to have all my stuff done and into the bank on the 24th so companies get paid on time.

It felt like an Oling setup. I didn't think I had to justify why I remembered something from a past game, and then didn't know it was also in the first post of this game.

I remember it as quick topic. But I only got to read it for like a week. Was the mafia chat in quicktopic?

And yah.... I was P!$$ED at Oling last game. I tended to start to get too involved in that game. It was 3 months or something by the time I got lynched. And I tend to get a little mouthy if I've been dipping into the "toddies".

I apologize for any past or future f-bombs I have or may drop. I can't help it....

At the end of the games which you were a part of Maz gave links and access to the quick topics

Your past PM's from maz have links to the quick topics you were privy to

I find it difficult to believe you of all players would forget that.

Now myself who cannot remember if he has washed his hair in the shower and gets stuck in the endless rinse and repeat cycle can remember quick topic and you don't well you can see my cause for concern.

Yes quick topic is used as it's threads are unsearchable by search tread engines like google.

Scum in CP Mafia 1 which I was a part of had the scum thread in quick topic.

I am doing the same.

Could be you were trying to catch Squiggs out.
Also could be you are contriving to find a lame reason to jump on the lynch.

It would be irresponsible for me not to point this out to everyone although IMO it should be self evident.

If Squiggs or anyone else does get lynched I would hope it will be because of firm belief not because of rice paper allegations, especially at this point in the game.

I saw what I believe was not above board and I called you out on it.
