The Iranian president interview...

Anyone watch last night? He really seemed to duck the controversial questions to statements he has made in the past. He tried to come off as more of a peace loving middleman as opposed to the extremist the media paints him as. Not much really came out of that interview.

Also, did I read correctly a while ago that all Western-based words/phrases have been banned from everyday use in Iran? Such as, you cannot use the term 'French fries' or 'French toast'?

Amazingly enough French Fries and French toast was changed to Freedom Fries and Freedom Toast in the good old USA...not Iran!

True, but I also believe that the White House even changed the name on their menu. At least that is what I heard. Still, it's not a state implemented change, but when the Head of State does something like that, it does have a politcal purpose.

It did make them look rather silly to say the least.
