I would not be shocked if they traded Stamkos for a huge package of assets. He is a very good player, but the Bolts are stacked with very good players. They wouldn't really skip much of a beat because the quantity and quality of their up coming guys.

I could see the Islanders being the most interested as they could use someone to play with Tavares and have the assets to make the trade.

I woukd even be willing to give up some of our prized assets like Poirier and #15 for Stamkos, he's only 25:

That could drive teams nuts.

We know this. We also know that Stamkos is not pleased. At least today this is becoming a thing where he may not actually sign in TB. It's not a forgone conclusion apparently.

Even with his contract up in a year? I honestly think that's too much. At least for a rebuilding team. Bennett is one of the best prospects in hockey.
