The pc version is always the best version. I wish some of these games on consoles were on the pc the modding communities put most of the console developers to shame.

Which? Mine?

EDIT:

If you are talking about the first one I linked: Yes, the moron replying is technically correct but completely disingenuous when trying to describe native 1080p gaming. You can scale a ####ty image up to whatever size you want and try to call it 1080p but it is clearly not what people thinking when talking about native 1080p gaming. By his assertion, an old SNES hooked up to your modern TV is gaming in 1080p. The notion is widely mocked. I think somebody was trying to make that ridiculous argument at some point in this thread.

If you are talking about the second one I linked: Ha! It's been pushed around on the internet and also soundly mocked. The fun starts here just scroll down. And has become a staple meme for mocking blind people (and the odd person on IGN unfortunately):

It's dependent on 4 things..

TV size
viewing distance
resolution (of course)
eye sight

Ignoring eye sight for a 50" display you more or less need to be viewing the TV from less than 10 feet away to see a difference. There is a reasonable chance of that happening.

For a 27" display you'd need to be less than 5 feet away to see the difference.

If I recall near sighted people will have an even harder time whereas far sighted people will be better able to see differences.

Looks like they fixed the controller with a proper 3.5 mm jack and bumpers.

Why ditch it? I like having the option of using batteries if my battery pack dies rather than having to plug a wire in. That being said it would be nice if they included said battery pack.

Needing to change batteries is way more annoying than plugging the controller in for a bit.

I just leave my PS4 on rest mode so my controller is charging when I'm not using it anyways.

My PS4 controllers sit on a charging dock when not in use but if it had a removable pack and could use batteries what does that hurt? Its always nice to have options and not everyone sits close enough to plug their controllers in if they die.

You can try this... it's essentially a removable battery pack for your ps4 controller

I don't know I think its pretty ridiculous to be using AA batteries in a controller in 2015. First thing I did was get a batter pack but paying extra for something that should be included rubs me the wrong way. PS3 had rechargeable controllers and that was what 10 years ago?

I suppose you are right on the point though...its fine if they have that option I guess but you gotta include the battery pack

PC game sales will likely eclipse those of the console market by next year

I think it's safe to say Sony just won E3.

Looks like I will need to upgrade to play fallout 4 and star wars battleground, my pc won't handle it.
Should I get a new pc (most expensive option) or go for the ps4 or Xbox one?
I am usually Sony all the way, but with the announcement that the Xbox will allow you to use fallout 4 mods, in back on the fence. What do you guys think?

I'm looking at a new PC myself, it's been a while now.

I believe both consoles (excluding the poor Wii U of course) will have mods for Fallout but I don't imagine it's actually much of a factor at all. They're both going to be so graphically taxed already that it won't be the mods that you're used to from things like high resolution texture Skyrim and such. I'd imagine it's much much more benign.

Well that depends. What does your system currently look like spec wise? It may be that you won't have to spend too much to get it up to snuff. You could potentially re-use parts like the case, psu and ram (DDR4 ram isn't a noticeable step up from DDR3). Would you be looking at replacing your computer in the next year or two anyway? Maybe taking that $500 you'd put towards a console into a new PC instead would be better.
