one of those 5 guys is the league MVP though ... it's not like this is some plucky team that could.
I mean we all get what you're trying to say, it's just that it looks really odd and bitter. It's not 2010 anymore.

Welcome to 2015, where the whole is better than the sum of its parts? I still think its a beautiful thing to watch 5 guys beating on one, similar to what the Spurs did to the Heat last year.
They essentially came in with the same team as last year, even though they finished 6th and lost in the first round. Considering Curry played less minutes than most superstars, keeping him fresh, in the regular season I'd say it was a team of guys beating one superstar. Add that to the fact Igoudala won finals MVP, this was more of a team effort than anything. It wasn't superstar vs superstar and the Warriors didn't let it become that storyline, it was team vs. superstar and that was fun to see.
Make no mistake, he deserved the MVP, but more than anything the team helped contribute to that.
Plus you're right, I'm not a Lebron fan either.

So happy for Curry and the Warriors. MVP and championship in the same year. We'll deserved.

Yeah but you're completely ignoring that the Cavs two next best players are hurt and that it's one superstar because he's all that's left available. The Cavs had no business in this series as a result of those injuries and LeBron carried them on his own as far as he could.
Such an odd post.

Anyone think the 3 point shot has changed the game too much?

So the team beat the self proclaimed "best player in the world."
You said Curry was a superstar, I said Curry and his team beat Lebron. Not sure what point you're trying to prove here.

Essentially made Curry a superstar and Klay an all-star.
EDIT: Personally I think its good to create spacing in the NBA.

Obviously his team beat LeBron. It's the best team in the league and they beat the best player flying basically solo. You're trying to present it like it's some big shock or something. Basically your post is a dig at Lebron because he can't beat the best team in the league alone?
Could any "best player" in history do that? No ... so what's your point?

Don't like the choice of Iggy as MVP, should have been Curry or Lebron.
Sure he did an okay job against Lebron but Lebron still averaged almost 40 and a triple double per game.
Lebron lost Love and Kyrie and still got it to game 6 of the Finals. Don't think any other team gets out of a round without two of their top three players.

Yes, but is the game better than it used to be? It is certainly different now.
http://grantland.com/features/the-re...t-hurting-nba/
The debate on this stuff is over. Math has won, though team-by-team personnel obviously still plays a huge role in a team’s shot-selection profile. The triumph of math has produced a fear of standardization among some NBA observers. “We shoot too many 3s now,” says Jeff Van Gundy, perhaps the closest thing the NBA has to a populist ombudsman. “We are out of whack. The numbers people have analyzed the game correctly, but we are eliminating a certain segment of NBA players.”
League officials are less concerned with uniformity and the triumph of math than they are with stylistic appeal, per several team sources who have discussed the issue with the league or attended meetings in which officials brought up the topic. The league does not want NBA basketball to look like a pickup game, and it is concerned that games with, say, 70 combined 3-point attempts would take on the feel of a ragged, me-first open gym game. This is what Stern hinted at during that April press conference: “When our teams are hot, it’s a thing of beauty. And when they’re not, they can go 3-for-41,” Stern said.

You said Curry was a superstar and I just said he won it with his team. I think its satisfying to watch Lebron and his isolation get beat. It's not just this year where he isolated the entire game, it was last year as well, and also game 1 of the series. It's boring and not fun to watch. Watching teams dismantle Lebron is fun IMO. LeBron can pretty much win a series by himself, see the Spurs in 2013 (Spurs were the heavy favorites as well).
Didn't mean to present it as a shock...

Curry is a superstar and yes he won it with his team. Those aren't mutually exclusive things. You like watching teams beat on one dude whose teammates are injured trying to gut it out. I mean ... cool I guess, everyone else just appreciated a great player trying to make a series out of what should have been a sweep.
This year and last year, hmm what could be the similarities. Last year it was a busted down Wade and Bosh playing like #### and this year it was Love and Irving being hurt. I mean what is he supposed to do, just quit? He's not going to just hand the ball over to Plug A and Plug B because you appreciate a team game. He's all that's left.

Again, I'm not a LeBron fan. I'm not even a fan of the Cavs as they made it through the NBA East, because I felt they isolated Lebron too much. I'm a fan of team basketball, to me its fun to watch. Even if Kyrie and Love were healthy it would still be a Lebron isolation fest, with Kyrie get touches here and there. Thats just what a Lebron team does though, they let him isolate.
I don't recall how busted down Wade and Bosh were, but if you choose to play with the both of them, which he did, IMO you have no excuses. Making bold comments like "not 8" doesn't help his case either. If you go the UFA route to play with better players why would you be excused? So he went 2/4 in his Miami days, thats isn't great considering the talent around him.
It wasn't like I marveled at how the Warriors beat them, I just think its satisfying that team basketball prevails.

Dismantle? Did you see his stats for this final, they were phenomenal. Nobody dismantled him at all, he had zero supporting cast.

Wasn't the CP police.......dismantling Lebron and dismantling the Cavs are two completely different things.
GS did have a fantastic season, could repeat again next year as well. Curry is awesome.

Weird choice of AI for MVP. The media was getting a little cute, didn't want to give it to LBJ nor Curry, so let AI take it.
