I think it's an idea worth considering. Both Tony Esposito and Bobby Hull were in the arena for the game 6 and i'm sure both would have jumped at the chance to present the Cup last night.

Another Chicago (suburban) Tradition in the making...TP-ing Coach Q's house after a Cup win!
The neighborhood will clean it up, and in past Cup years, Coach Q was out signing autographs for the kids that do the clean up! He has always had a smile on his face for this...Winning Lord Stanley's Cup will cheer most people up!

I am watching the feed on CBC of the parade and the guy talking and cameraman think the Stanley Cup is the western conference champs trophy, Campbell bowl. So they haven't left the view of Richards, Vermette and someone else holding it. Haha, I can't handle watching and listening to them!

I say so too. Everyone has a hate on for Bettman and that is the only reason anyone would consider this topic. I actualy thought the booing this time was pretty subdued, but maybe the sound guys tuned it out on the broadcast.
Bettman is awkard but he is the commish and should be handing out the Cup. I don't see why people can't just respect the moment and get over it.

Bettman awkward? It is more than that, and the contempt that many fans feel for the guy is well deserved. He was brought in by owners and publically charged with solving labor problems with the Players, his solution? LOCKOUTS! In attempting to "break" the NHLPA, Bettman disrespected the game and it's fans, and showed disdain for the Players, as parts of TWO seasons were lost, along with the loss of an ENTIRE season to owner's greed, and Bettman's actions as commissioner...so risking the sport and ignoring it's fans by being the prime mover in the damaging of THREE seasons, Bettman and hard line owners, like Dollar Bill Wirtz, for whom Bettman was a minion, deserve the enmity of NHL fans, in perpetuity.

You realize Bettman's right hand owner is now Murray Edwards.

Burke...I was speaking, more, to the owners that put Bettman in charge with the secret agenda of union busting, back in 1993...Dollar Bill, even from the grave, was offensive to Blackhawk fans, as he was the architect of the low "Hard Cap", that meant the 'Hawks had to dump key players after the 2010 Cup win...
I don't think that Edwards has quite the same clout as the cabal of hard-liners did in promoting Bettman.
