This is one that seems possible. That would be a good haul. Still requires a large "ledge" of prospects available at 15, but I do think it is a possibility. The Chabot/Zboril/Roy seems like a coin flip and perhaps they are keen on Meloche or Carlo. Same could be said for a bunch of forwards that could be available.

Either way, very happy that it seems BT is open to a number of scenarios and is aggressive in his dealings with the other GMs.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

That's the only way I see us moving down. 21/51 wouldn't cut it.

IF we trade down from 15 and the oilers take Carlo at 16 and he turns into a stud in the NHL im going to cry about that for years. Dont trade down just because the oilers may then end up with McDavid + maybe whoever we were thinking we might take at 15. I wouldnt do it.

Treliving said yesterday that if they reach pick 15 and they have a group of players that they feel are more or less the same they may look to trade down. They also may trade up depending on who is on the board at say 11 and whether it makes sense to do so.

Everything depends on what happens on draft day.

are there rumours that the oilers are interested in carlo at 16?? from everything i've read they seem high on svechnikov at 16 and there's speculation they're interested in the russian goalie at 33. carlo at 15-16 seems like a bit of a reach as well.

He's been saying this since at least 2015?

What a weird, timely thread bump.
Edit - I see what happened now. It was no coincidence. Rando went looking for these.
