Good summary OzSome, I was impressed with both Davis and Buckley and not that impressed with Moniz, I think Davis is the favourite for the 3rd QB slot. Tosten ran very well last night as did Harrison, if we can keep both those guys and cut Jock Sanders, that's what I would like to see happen. As for some of the other new guys, I liked what Slaughter brings to the table both as a returner and a receiver and Greg Wilson also looked very good last night.

Bottom line, some very good players are not going to make this Stamps roster.

Yes Davis was pretty impressive going 9 for 10 and 1 TD pass. Buckley was pretty good too while Moniz I thought was not bad but could have done more. Toston was actually pretty meh early on and I was thinking he need to show a lot more next Friday against Sask in order to make it then he started running a lot better in the 2nd half.

Too bad for Jabari Arthur but I am never been a fan of his. He is a big/tall guy who never seem to use his advantages. Also, he's been an injury prone. Stamps have a few national receivers that warrants the roster spot over him. These guys can also play ST. Lamar Durant was pretty impressive on the pre-season then there's the veteran Anthony Parker, Simon Charbonneau-Campeau.

I think we will see more cuts tonights as all CFL Rosters must be trimmed to 65 (not including injured players) by 10PM MDT. We have at least 80 players on training camp at this time.

I'm glad Arthur can now take his talents elsewhere. Never been a fan.

Stamps still have 79 players in camp. This needs to be reduced to 65 by day's end. 7 of those are draft picks from this year so they don't count against the 65.

That leaves 72. 7 will be put on IR. 3 are known.
-Micah Johnson
-Cory Mace
-Max Caron

I'm surprised none of the QBs got cut. I'm happy with the SCC/Parker/Durant National Receiver combo.

I knew it!! Jock Sanders have a lot of competitions this season. I thought he won't make it as a backup RB so he needs to be a better returner. Unfortunately Stamps have a few good returners on this training camp. Greg Wilson, Nathan Slaughter, Cunningham and others.

So story goes something like this, I'm hearing from multiple sources... Jock Sanders essentially refused to go into the game on Friday

Jabari does a lot in the Calgary community but hasn't been anywhere as productive on the field. Parker and SCC have passed him on the depth chart, and Durant is much younger.

Really interested to see how the QB position plays out. I can't see them keeping 3 QB's. Buckley has the Calgary connection but could be the odd man out (I could see him being the unofficial 4th QB, in case someone gets hurt during the season, you don't even have to fly him in). That leaves Moniz versus Davis -- I think if Davis can impress enough with his arm against Saskatchewan, he'll stick over the incumbent Moniz.

Sort of off topic but I need help from you fellow CFL fans.

Is there a good CFL fantasy league out there? On TSN maybe?

Me and a few buddies want to set up a league for this season. Do they have a CFL version that is similar to an NFL one? Where you set your rosters and have weekly match ups and such?

Thanks for the help guys!!

Yes Lamar Durant made Jabari expendable. As for QB situation, I believe Andrew Buckley is still eligible to play another year at U of C Dinos and I am sure Huff will put one of Moniz or Davis on practice roster. The Sask pre-season game on Friday will be their last test. I like Moniz but I am sort of rooting for Dominique Davis to be the 3rd stringer. He's got an arm, he can run and much bigger/taller. Moniz can throw too and definitely can run.

If other CPers are interested I can make a CP league for bragging rights. Post if interested, time is short.

Not sure what happened to LB Tahj Jones rookie from LSU and DL Anthony Woodard rookie from Bethune-Cookman as both players are not on the training camp rosters anymore. Not aware if they got released or not.

All CFL clubs must be down to 65 players(not including players on injured list and roster non-counters such as 2015 draft picks) by 10PM MDT last night. We all know the 7 draft picks from 2015: OL Lavoie, R Durant, DB Campbell, OL Picton, RB Langlais, DB Janke and QB Buckley. I am guessing players on injured list at this time are: DL Micah Johnson, LB Max Caron, DB Fred Bennett, DL Corey Mace, DL Ben D'Aguilar, OL Brander Craighead and DL Junior Turner. Or maybe Mace and one of Bennett or Turner are off.

77 players on the camp - 7 Draft picks and probably 5 on IR. I guess there won't be any cuts in a few days for now.

Sounds like Huff has some tough decisions in the defensive secondary (a nice problem to have):

It appears both have been released as they show up as free agents on the cfl site.

Sounds like, according to Huf, that former Lion Tim Brown will be with the Stamps shortly. If he sticks around, I love this pickup, a very dynamic returner.

Is it normal for players to come out of junior. Dexter Janke is from the Okanagan Suns, that's like the Calgary Colts, right?

It's not very common but it happens. I believe stamps OL Spencer Wilson also came directly from the Calgary Colts.

Yup Wilson came up through the Colts!

Pumped about the Tim Brown signing. Could be huge for us, he is by far superior over Jock.
Not sure why BC let him go...hope its not injury related? maybe Wally is finally losing it?

Didn't Stamps FB Rob Cote also make the jump straight from the Calgary Colts to the Stamps?
