Bishop: dummy

Crawford should have been penalized, but I am fine with the officials just acting like that idiotic trapezoid rule doesn't exist.

If you come out to play the puck and collide with *your own defensemen*, you probably didn't need to come out and play the puck.

I was kind of irate that Saad got called when an already broken stick fell apart on a stick tie-up attempt...but, failed to draw a penalty when he got tackled on a chip and chase...the non-calls seem heavily weighted in TB's favor...as they have been, all series (some of the holding on 'Hawk forwards, the other night, when Crawford was pulled, were surreal)

The 'Hawks' depth wins this one...the 3rd line scores the GWG, and the 4th line consistently pinned the Bolts in deep...Crawford was pretty damn good too

The Hawks depth was great creating the GWG but credit for the win goes to their top four defence. Keith and Hjalmarsson were especially good playing 29 and 28 minutes respectively.

If I were the Hawks, I would install a bazillion cameras on the goal lines.

Tampa is known for getting away with "inconclusive" goals in game 6 of the Cup Final.

Experience and the ability to stick to the game plan are the keys to the Hawks being up 3-2 and looking to win the Cup at home. Their defence has been rock solid and doesn't cough the puck very often.

Keith has to be the odds on fav for the Conn Smythe.

Dion...I think that DK is certainly the Conn Smythe front runner...but, if I had a vote, I'd go with Crawford, who deserved it in 2013, and who, despite some early round struggles, has really come up big.

I can see Crawford being considered for the way he has played in the Cup finals. My concern is that his his play in the first round against Nashville hurts his chances. Still either one would be a great choice.

Chicago is so great to watch, so many good players but I thought Shaw, Kruger, Vermette, Versteeg etc were fantastic. Guys that just get their role and play it. I find it hard not to cheer for Chicago.

I went into this series not really caring who won but the more I watch the more I'm really hating Tampa. So much interference, holding, hooking, it's every play. Chicago just keeps going though, never complain.

Not sure if it has been said, but Tampa was unlucky tonight.

Also, the hawks outplayed them, but man they couldn't get too much rolling their way.

Cheering for Chicago on this end.

Never ever let it go, that cup was tainted.

Me too. I came in very neutral and just can't stomach the thought of TB winning another cup. I actually don't have anything against the team or the players though. I just can't stand the organization for some reason. I can't stand their name, their dumb logo, their wannabe hockey fans (maybe that's not a fair comment). They still give me the impression of a roller hockey franchise, everything that is against what a hockey franchise should be.

Not to mention the Hawks are just a damn good team, and will be fully deserving of being called a modern day dynasty if they win again. And the organization just represents the tradition of hockey, its the polar opposite of TB. If there is one team I hope the Flames can model themselves after, its Chicago.

Oh yeah and 2004. I aint even gonna lie, I'm still bitter.

From 2014:

Had the play happened today, Gelinas is confident he’d have his second Stanley Cup ring.

“Isn’t it amazing the next year all the camera angles were changed so that such a thing couldn’t happen again?” said Gelinas, amazed not only that 10 years has gone by but 20 since he played as a Vancouver Canuck in a Cup final against the New York Rangers.

The funny thing is that the play DID basically happen with Sam's goal in the first round. And it was still ruled no goal.

If you guys are so hell bent on crowning Chicago something for how good they are, could you at least leave the word dynasty out of it?

The salary cap makes it almost impossible for any team to become a true dynasty. What we are seeing from the Hawks is about as close as any team will get to becoming a dynasty
