Don't waste the $150.00 on this watch. It doesn't sound like something he would appreciate/use. If he loves tie clips / cuff links go spend the $150 on a great set of cuff links instead that would be a decent addition to his collection. He has no use for a calculator watch in his collection.

Agreed, the watch you get for $150 is going to pretty bottom of the barrel, and doesn't really make for a great gift. Might as well shoot for a gift where $150 gets you something of substance in the category.

Hmmmm sorry Gundo I'm not sure where would be a good place to get about 7 watch batteries replaced. Don't worry I'm sure someone else will chime in and help you out

I've always just gone to the watch counter at The Bay. The Bay in Sunridge Mall has had the same guy working there for years, and I always found him helpful.

I would take the 7 to the same place you took the 8th.

There used to be a store in Chinook called Battery World. They sold all kinds of batteries. Watchmakers at Sears and Bay in Southcentre sell and replace batteries.

Is Peter12 leaving your company?

He would probably be a good guy ask though of how best to spend $150 on a good gift.

I buy all my watch and small toy batteries on eBay or Amazon. Cheap if you can tolerate the three weeks it takes to ship from China, but you can get multiple backup batteries. If you don't know what battery the watch needs, take out the battery and it should be imprinted somewhere on the battery.

Got them back today from brinkhaus. Very happy with the service. Both are running like a champ. Thanks again!

Love both but the 8 Day GMT in the 50's case is super nice. Did you find they were looking new with the cleanup work they do to them? Mine came back without any scratches on the metal surround near the crystal. Loved that.

Which strap do you think you will choose? Or did you grab a Saddlemaker combo?

I like the ones with the standard brown strap. Not a huge fan of the black w/ green as it sorta looks off in that combo. Also not a huge fan of the Saddlemaker straps.

That being said, I'm also curious to whether the reason it looks off is due to the lighting.

Think I'm going to go blue/brown combo. Love the idea of the saddlemaker strap, but I like the looks of the standard better.
