Flames Season ticket holder waiting list???

Hi all,

Born and bread Flames fan here and I buy enough tickets each year that it makes sense for me to have seasons tickets but I have a few questions for those newer STH.

How long did you wait for the seasons tickets in the 2nd bowl?

How often do you get any specific STH events, invites and specials associated with being a STH ??

I have a fairly close group where we go to many games either via purchased tickets or guests of friends who are season ticket holders. I am starting to find that by the time I pick up the tab for food, booze and parking for friends who invite me to games I maybe better off financially just being a season ticket holder.

Last question I have is for those fans who are season ticket holders what is the best way to split the season with another buyer? Are there any software programs or something? My biggest issue is outside of my close knit group of friends I am not sure who I would go to the game if I have extra tickets so I would look to sell a portion of the season. If I were to become a STH I would like to split any games throughout the season fairly with regards to quality and split of games between weekday and weekends.

Any help would be great! As for the Flames "Hot House" waiting list I am aware but have never inquired about how long the waiting list is.

Thanks

I was on the wait list for 3 years and they offered me tickets this season. I turned them down mainly because I just bought a house but also because I thought they we're going to be terrible. I regret that decision everyday and hopefully will get tickets next year

We went on the wait list shortly into last season (maybe November). We were #520, and we got seats for this year in the whites.

Also, don't worry so much about what area you're in to start. Even if you have to resort to a season in crappy seats (say you're wanting lower bowl or center ice in the 2nd level), it's better to do so and endure a year and go to the re-seating event they have in the offseason. The first season I was a season ticket holder my two seats were 2 seats apart and in separate rows (one in front of the other) after that one year, we were side by side and moved around slightly until we got a pair in the first row of the greens in 217 and have been there ever since.

Then you can re-locate anywhere in the building including the lower bowl if you so choose (those that want to re-locate get first crack at moving anywhere). There is no restriction as long as you have the $.

The waiting list will be getting longer every day the Flames are in the playoffs. I would recommend getting on the list as soon as possible.

This is good advice. This is exactly what we did also and now our seats are pretty awesome. On the flip side I have a friend that passed up some seats this year because he thought they weren't good enough....and he is absolutely gutted now.

Recently went on the wait list in May...i believe i was around 650. Any guess as to if there would be enough turnover to get to me for this year? The customer service rep advised me that i should accept any seats if they are offered and relocate the following year.

The STH relocation thread talks about PL season ticket holders can't relocate for 3 years...can someone confirm this?

That was part of the deal I got in on.
You can move within the PL though, so hoping to move down a row or two.

Me and a couple buddies just put ourselves on the wait list for tickets too. Hopefully we get the chance sooner rather than later.

We did it before the playoffs... might make a bit of a difference?

I had mentioned above on this thread, but will again here for your benefit to help out.

We put our names on the wait list I believe in November of the 13/14 season, and were #520 on the list. By the end of that season (last summer) we had tickets in the second bowl, whites.

You're a little higher on the list than we were, but not overwhelmingly and who knows how many were after us on the list over that time who may have also got in. It's probably going to be close. But definitely get in if you can even with seats not your ideal. You're in the relocation internally once in, so will have a step up on anyone on the list to improve thereafter.

Good luck my man, hope you get in.

So I just joined the hot house waiting list -- pretty jacked up right now! Anyone out there know how long it takes to know what place I am in line? I imagine there has been a lot of people signing up this year.

Hi bud.

Congrats on joining the wait list. Exciting times for sure. Getting the notice you're eligible for tickets and being given a time to log in and choose seats is a pretty cool experience.

With respect to finding out what number you are on the list, you will receive a package in the mail fairly soon that will contain amongst other things, a Hot House Waitlist card (credit card) with your number listed on it.

When I received said package, it was early into a Flames season and I received a couple pairs of tickets to games in the PL's, and a handful of tickets to the Hitmen. I'm not sure then exactly what they'll do for yourself here in the off season. Perhaps they'll send you off your information for being in the Hot House, then send you another package with some games (etc) when the schedule is set and tickets are made available.

Either way, I would assume you will receive some mail fairly soon providing you your wait list number if nothing else.

Congrats again and all the best.

Just additional FYI.

I joined in late February for PL. I recieved 2 pairs of tickets to a couple of Flames
games in April and Hitmen vouchers. The Hot House cards also provide some pretty good discounts at the Fan Attic as well. Can't recall the exact discounts but I remember thinking they were pretty decent. My priority number is in the late 20s.

Thanks for the info guys! I am so excited at the thought of being a season ticket holder -- something I've been looking forward to for a long time!

Giving this a bump as I just received notification for season tickets from the hothouse list. I passed last year because of other commitments and thinking the flames woud be lousy, but I will likely pull the trigger this year.

Having read through the seat allocation thread, there does appear to be a fair amount of movement. Would the folks that have gone through this recommend picking up whatever is available and then shuffle seats in the forecoming years? My ideal spot would be second bowl, good whites, but I know those will be tough. How are the green or orange for view/value?
Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I will probably jinx it, be forewarned.

Future does look bright and so long as they put up the effort like they have, I will not be disappointed.
