ThaBrink is on CP currently. The pick is long overdue, therefore he has 1 hour to make the pick.

The allotted time for ThaBrink to select for Colorado has passed. With the 40th selection, the Colorado Avalanche select, defenseman Gabriel Carlsson.
New Jersey is on the clock and will be PMed shortly.

Another poll coming up? (Some good picks, by the way. I was hoping for a few other D to fall)

Still definitely some quality prospects still on the board for Calgary. That' what has me so excited about the real draft. Nominating:
Alexander Dergachyov (6'4 smooth-skating power forward, 0.87 ppg in MHL)
Mitch Vande Sompel (Elite PP Specialist, RHD)
Matthew Spencer (good mix of size and skating, RHD)
Zach Senyshin (quick skating power winger )
Guillarme Briseboise (smooth-skating puck-mover)
Thomas Schemitch (Two-way RHD, skating needs work but overall game looks awesome. 6'3" and posted .72 PPG for Owen Sound)
Conor Garland (undrafted previously, won't go undrafted this time. Beat out Ehlers for QMJHL scoring title, crashes net hard)

Since there will be 7 selections before the Flames pick at 52, the poll for #45 will include seven nominees. Theoretically, the Flames select 1 player in the group, with the expectation that the others will be gone by 52.
Already some really good nominees for the poll. Nominations can be made until 7:00pm Calgary time and then the poll will be created. Even at 45 there will be some really good prospects that will not be included in the poll.
My suggestions for nominees:
Mitchell Vande Sompel - D
Zach Zenyshyn - RW
Matt Spencer - D
Filip Chlapik - C
Nicolas Roy - C
Rasmus Andersson - D
Guilaume Brisebois - D

Ryan Pilon might have off ice issues, but he is still a very good defensive defenseman. I think an argument could be made to select him.

Thomas Schemitch is who I'd pick. He seems like the kind of player we need and his name is fun to say....Schemitch

I would like to see Andersson, Forsbacka Karlsson, Greenway and Gagne on there as well (especially if this is used for #52 and #53).
Edit: The list posted by Sureloss would be fine, perhaps taking out the goalies.
Anyone have views on Greenway? Seems to be falling a bit, as I recall he was a potential first rounder as well.

Chlapik would be a good choice at 52/53.
I'd go with Senyshyn for 45.
