I am glad Argos got the new owner. What a joke that David Braley owns two teams. What is stopping them from throwing a game so his other team makes the playoff? I guess we don't have to worry about that now.

Winnipeg gave up its first round pick in next year's draft after taking Garrett Waggoner in the supplemental draft. Think its a steep price... a top 3 pick for a DB/LB. Then again BC had him on their neg list as an American so they thought he could compete.

Sam was to small/weak for the line and to slow to be a linebacker. But I could see him fitting in very well in the CFL.

Lions ask McCallum to retire:

The oldest player in the CFL was asked in the afternoon by general manager Wally Buono to retire when coach Jeff Tedford made the determination that the Lions kicking needs can be handled by the American tandem of Richie Leone and Anthony Fera.

Nobody was saying much about what took place, but McCallum’s locker stall had been cleared out and the 23-year veteran had headed home to the Lower Mainland. He’ll be given a few days to determine if he would like the Lions to release him so he can try to latch on with another team, or retire.
