Rapinoe is not quite as good as she thinks she is, which isn't a great thing for the US as the apparent game plan is to run the show through Rapinoe.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of MLS aligning itself with the U.S. national teams. I know many Timbers fans that aren't USMNT fans.

The NWSL tweeted today that one of their players scored a World Cup goal for the first time today, apparently forgetting that Sinclair plays in their league.

I don't like the fact that Moncton is even part of this tournament. Somebody ought to look up the most travel between games of a World Cup, because US/Nigeria have to fly Vancouver - Moncton and have one less day to prepare than the winner if either finishes 2nd in the group. That game should be in Edmonton.

I suppose, though finishing 3rd is potentially better. If Nigeria finishes 3rd in their group, it could be Canada v Nigeria in Vancouver on June 21, Nigeria's second game in a row there... while the higher finishing team flies across the country to Moncton.

I know. It is very strange. The 24 team 4 3rd place wildcard system is always awkward.

Ramona Bachmann of Switzerland just put on a clinic. It's a shame she couldn't finish, because that would've been on highlight reels everywhere.

Yeah Swiss are really playing well. They are only down because of a shocking penalty decision in the first half.

Yeah Bachmann of Switzerland just did a fantastic Messi impression tearing up the left flank, then slipped because of the dumb turf. Had she finished, I can't think of a better goal in woman's football that I've ever seen. Swiss doing a great job hanging in there with the world champs, who look breakable.

Wow, there is literally nobody at the game in Montreal. Even considering the poor start times (4 pm on a weekday), it's an absolutely pathetic attendance for a city that is at best a fickle soccer town.

I usually see quite a bit of love for Olympic Stadium but it just looks terrible for football. Is Hellard Field booked for this evening?

You can't be serious. The olympic stadium might be one of the worst venues in North America.

13020 against Portland

13020 against Dallas
12518 against TFC
10035 against Whitecaps

That, to me, is the very definition of fickle.

A lot of the praise I hear is regarding the exterior architecture. However, it didn't look too shabby in its original format.
