Sooo, I was definitely a stanis supporter up until this point. I don't think so much anymore.
Pretty quick downhill slide. It's been a while since I've read the books, but aside from sansa escaping to stanis's camp, this is pretty much where the books left off, right?

Shireen stayed at Castle Black in the books. Plus the whole Jon Snow mutiny. But yeah - there's really no other book material to cover. Other than some minor Meeteen and Dany stuff.

Accounting for the changes in the show, I would say there's still about five pretty big events that the book had:
Looks to be no Aegon or Quentyn. Doesn't appear that Brienne will have her reunion and Manderly, if he plays a part in the show, hasn't sent Davos on his mission.

I am a little confused as to how things will play out in the finale, but definitely a lot of moving parts that should keep things interesting. I guess I was off about the Stannis assassination, but maybe instead he dies during the siege and she fails to res him then.
Looks like Ayra is going to put on a mask and go kill Trent next episode, good to see her take some strides in her training. I have a feeling it was all set up from the start by her trainer, it was no coincidence that he sent her to that exact spot on the dock day after day until Trent's boat arrives. Perhaps it is a final gift before she gives herself to the Many Faced God, or a rite of passage or something.
Seeing Danny ride Drogon was just awesome, I never thought it would happen this season but that was just an awesome moment of FINALLY!

I expect we will see Cersie, Jon and Stannis' scenes played out, somehow - and nothing else.

Jon and Tyrion if you believe some of the theories out there. I'm not quite sure I do.

I know the Jon theory.
Will have to look up the Tyrion one - had not heard of this before. Thanks

I know Benioff and Weiss have said 7 seasons is their ideal length. If that is the case, we are pretty late in the game to introduce new 'main' characters.

True - but all bets are off for the books. Heck, there might be an eighth book for all we know.

I am pretty sure that Cersei's shaved head and walk back will feature heavily in the finale.
My guess is 1/2 of the episode is dedicated to that and the wall. The rest should touch on Sansa using the corkscrew, Stannis marching, Dany landing in the desert, the confusion in Mereen with no ruler and maybe some resolution with Arya and Trant.

Yah....everything about Dorne has been a let down compared to the book. Well I like Alexander Siddig, but I'm also a huge DS9 fan.
