Upon hearing and feeling crunch number 1, why does the driver proceed to give it more gas?

Interesting that the Go-Pro gets shut off right away (or edited away at least), given the likely the words and actions exchanged after. Surprised there's not more words on the original youtube clip outside of a couple grunts.

If only that motorcyclist had those really loud pipes then perhaps the motorist would not have given it gas before completely driving over the bike

Panic. Happens quite a bit that people hit the accelerator instead of the brake pedal in a panic.

That's what you deserve for riding a CBR250. I am perfectly OK with every single pretend poser sport bike, being treated in this manner.

However, also with video evidence like this, the driver of the RAV4 should have their licensed permanently revoked.

It's win-win.

Honda makes some amazing machines.

But these re-badged 30 HP scooters, made to look like 170HP super sports is really annoying to me. They're the fake Jersey of the motorcycle world.

Yeah there's that, but a 250 sports bike makes a good learner.

I actually disagree with that sentiment. They are so dangerous in passing situations with a clueless inexperienced rider that thinks they are on a fast machine, which in reality can't out run a 82 Chevy Chevette. They see sporty fairings, and think this must be a fast bike. Unfortunately a lot of sales people prey on female riders that don't follow it quite as much, and sell them that junk.

New sport bikes and 600/750cc standards are so light and manageable as it is, the only thing that is more dangerous about them, is how far the rider is willing to twist their wrist. I was on a group ride last year, and almost watch a rider become a grill ornament because they ran out of power on a 250, and got trapped in a pass. Also when people get on those slugs, I think it really waters down the experience, and pushes them away from it, because they think they are indicative of how a typical bike performs.

Also the braking on those machines is an absolute joke.

Anyway, way OT, but those slugs of machines IMO, do not equate to good starter bikes in my opinion. I think 600CC minimum is where every rider should start in our country. India/Asia... yeah 125s and 250s are fine as traffic is so much slower and dense, but here, you are asking for trouble if you run out of power on a pass.

Started on a gsxr 600. Perfect starter bike imo. Enough power to pass safely, and feels like a LOT of power when youre a beginner so you learn to respect the damage you could do to yourself, and take the time to learn how to do it safely.
