Flames 2015 Draft - Full 7 Round Prediction Thread

I've been F5'ing this forum for days hoping someone would make this thread..no one did, so I thought I may as well. I vaguely remember someone making it last year and I managed to guess Hunter Smith (but not in the 2nd like we did). So why not have a stab at it this year.
I've based my picks off rankings I've seen everywhere, from draft sites to Button to McKenzie's list.
Flames 2015 Draft Picks
15th overall - Flames 1st
45th overall - Flames 2nd
52nd overall - Capitals 2nd
53rd overall - Canucks 2nd
76th overall - Flames 3rd
83rd overall - Capitals 3rd
136th overall - Flames 5th
166th overall - Flames 6th
196th overall - Flames 7th

Ok so...my selections. Went a little nuts with the RH shots but hey, not too many in our system and they happen to be good.
15th overall - Flames 1st
	45th overall - Flames 2ndQuote:

		| Jeremy Roy - D Two-Way Defenceman
 LWOS Profile
 The Hockey Writers Profile
 -6'0 188, shoots R
 -Leadership quality, high character
-Plays in all roles, good at running the PP
 -Excellent puck mover
 -Very high hockey IQ

I realize that a lot of people are eyeing Svechnikov at around this pick. I'd be still stoked if we got him, but I just feel that Roy is the more solid pick for the Flames organization at this juncture rather than a scoring winger.
 |
	52nd overall - Capitals 2ndQuote:

		| Zachary Senyshyn - RW Power Forward
 LWOS Profile
 -6'0, 192lbs, shoots R
 -Elite skating speed
 -Excellent shot
-Big and strong enough to fight through checks
-Power forward-game, drives the net a lot

I think he may be gone by 45th but hoping otherwise. Seen him as early as 40 (McKenzie) and late as 50's. But damn son, a power forward that fast? If he bulks up he can just charge through defenders rather than around them. He'd open up a lot of space for his linemates for sure, and I wouldn't be surprised seeing him taken as early as the late 1st round.

	53rd overall - Canucks 2ndQuote:

		| Christian Fischer - RW Power Forward
 LWOS Profile
 Button's Report
 -6'0, 212lbs, shoots R
-Has size and knows how to use it on the cycle
-Tenacious backchecker in all three zones, great work ethic
-Can be used in both shutdown and a scoring role
 |
	76th overall - Flames 3rdQuote:

		| Rasmus Andersson - D Offensive Defenceman
 LWOS Profile
 Button's Report
 -6'0 212lbs - shoots R
 -Confident with puck
-Doesn't force plays, makes good decisions advancing puck
 - 12G, 52A in 67 GP (3rd in OHL dman scoring)
 - Good positioning and stick defensively but still needs work

 |
	83rd overall - Capitals 3rdQuote:

		| Vladislav Gavrikov - D -Good ties with Rafikov, used to be defence partner

That's about as far as I can go, rest of the rounds are a crap shoot.

After Treliving's presser today (JUN.18) and his stance on the Russian factor I think the BPA on the board @15 will be Guryanov and they'll gleefully take him.

I got two sets of lists for the top three:
 List A)
 15. RW Brock Boeser (unless LW/C Kyle Connor slips to us, which he won't. Still, I just sense that the Flames see Sean Monahan in this guy with his automatic release. Those are the two forwards I see us picking as long as one's on the board (and one of the top 10 golden children didn't miraculously fall). If not, I think we go with a D (which is what puts us at List B)
 45. RW Jeremy Bracco (just too skilled not to get picked if we get our big RW in the first round. Since we have size already on the left side in Ferland etc, a small right winger could be a great fit)
 52. RD Noah Juulsen (Gotta love anybody that's a "out-of-nowhere riser" in the draft (think Poirier). Chances are that he's not still available, but I'm crossing my fingers for it. If not, there's other choices like RD Spencer, LD Briesbois, and LD Wotherspoon... at least one of them is still on the board and I'd be happy with any.)

 List B)
 15. RD Jeremy Roy (I feel like he has a lot more upside than he's given credit for - seems to be good at everything and poor at nothing. That said, if we gamble on LD Kylington, that works too, only because otherwise he'd become Detroit's new Lidstrom and I would not like that...small chance we go the Chabot route too. Don't see us going the Carlo or Zboril route - though I like both players)
 45. RW Zach Senyshyn (looks like the steal of the draft. 6'1 and can skate like the wind with a true power game?)
 52. RD Matt Spencer (looks like a top 4D in the making with offense and defense. Will take time to develop, but we'll be able to give him that at least. I like that skating, positioning, and physicality are already there - you're starting at a strong foundation which for a defenseman can be the difference.)

 For the bottom six:

 53. LW Alex Dergachyov (There's your Burke pick. 6'4" Power Forward with a well-rounded skillset)
 75. C/RW Conor Garland (if he's on the board, you take him. Period. Could be Tyler Johnson 2.0 and I think every team is wondering about that seeing TJ rip up the post season to historic proportions)
 83. LD Thomas Schemitsch (typical Flames third round pick - needs to work on skating but has the size and IQ to be a real impact player at the NHL level. Lots of offensive skill unlike a Kanzig or Ollas-Maattson, but at 6'4 / 200+ lbs we're still talking about exactly the kind of defenseman this team needs.) Right-handed shot, although he plays left-hand side so far.
 136. C/RW David Jankowski (No-brainer. It's a repeat of the Mark Jankowski pick, only a bit shorter at 6'1.)
 166. C/LW Tanner Laczynski (Don't know much about him, but Flames love their USHL picks, and this centreman looked like a good roulette choice with 46 points in 57 games)
 196. RD Jason Fram (Was in Flames Camp last year as an undrafted guy. Flames love to track and reward progress on those guys as they showed with Hunter Smith and Austin Caroll last year)

I was wondering if someone would guess Fram. I bet the Flames snag him with a late pick as well.

Also, nice with the younger Jankowski too.

I'm basing this off how Treliving named him in some interview... sounds like Austin Caroll 2.0

If Connor somehow falls to us I hope BT moves heaven and hell to get another top 20 pick to snag Boeser too. Yes, I'm greedy and unrealistic.

I kind of wonder if we will. I mean spend a sixth/seventh round pick on him if that's about where he'll go. You get some surplus value in that you also get a better camp experience for a different more highly picked prospect.

Do not know much about Jankowski but he might be worth a 7th rounder just to build some good will with Mark. 4th year NCAA players scare the #### out of me.
