Hawks in over 6 minutes of play never really got a single good shot off at Vasilevskiy. Tampa collapsed really well there and gave them nothing but the Hawks were pretty sloppy.

Pierre LeBrun calling Vasilevskiy a future star for his 5 min performance.

Always respected Pierre, but what the hell?

He's a fantastic young goalie, bright future ahead of him.

Looks like a knee injury for Ben Bishop. We had a visual of the injury before he left the first time. #tvasports

Huge ratings for the Stanley Cup Finals.

Game 1 had a 4.23 rating on NBC, one of the highest ratings in years.

28.0 rating in the Chicago market (highest for a non-OT Stanley Cup Final game)

17.9 rating in the Tampa Bay market, highest ever for an NHL game.

It's the cup finals... Tampa's opponent wins game 1 in Tampa, Tampa wins game 2 in Tampa... hmm....

He's been pegged as a future star in Tampa for a while now. His "5 min performance" isn't what is causing that prediction.

Pierre LeBrun is a complete tool? I really like him and I think he's well respected in the hockey world. Pierre McGuire is the one I can see people calling that name.

While I prefer McGuire to Engblom in NBC's coverage...it is more like a choice of preferring a Hot Oil Enema over a Molten Lead Enema...

McGuire's gushing over guys, and his useless trivia on what coach a guy had in midgets just doesn't connect with American fans...

American fans prefer debilitating homer goggles?

No...as a rule...Americans view anything below the NHL level is mere trivia, and not worth mentioning...Honestly, watch a US broadcast of an MLB or NFL game, and unless the Little League Coach, or Pop Warner coach was a Hall of Famer, there is nary a mention...and as far as gushing over players, we are more selective on our man-crushes!

For those outside the continent of North America watching the NHL International feed, how is the commentary of Dave Strader and Kevin Weekes?

Visiting Chicago last year for that 4-1 playoff loss to Detroit, I was amazed at how utterly silent United Center gets when the Hawks are trailing. Speaking of, it is utterly silent at United Center right now.

I don't doubt the kid has the potential to be a stud, but it was in direct assessment of and attributed to his relief performance.

Kind of a 'gut gushing' that I haven't seen from LeBrun before.
