Was there a flood? I can't remember, I don't remember Sportsnet airing Faceoff With The Flood before every game this season. Maybe it never happened at all.
Wasnt it just the Refrigeration Plant, I can't recall if they replaced the actual chilling pipelines below the concrete.

I remember when the new jumbotron was installed in the Saddledome and many were questioning why when a new arena was "just around the corner". At this rate we'll probably be on jumbotron #3 when they finally break ground
It's average to below average at best. Resolution on the screens is poor. Many of the screens are damaged or have areas where the display doesn't quite work right anymore. The energy board was good in 2006. That is almost a decade ago. Things change. Large high resolution displays simply destroy the energy board display in terms of visual quality and colour.
It's certainly fine and doesn't need to be replaced as long as the saddledome is still active (unless this drags on another 7 years) but it's absolutely on the back end of its useful lifecycle.

It's better than Edm, Ana, SJ & Phoenix. Vancouver and LA have better ones.
He's got some skills for his age, but if the Flames actually released that as an arena design I'd be severely disappointed. Adults may look at it with rose coloured glasses because it's a kid, but that's an utterly boring, bland outside design by today's standards.
