Likewise. I just have a feeling that this mafia logic I've been fed since the beginning about scum always laying low is being flipped on its head this game. I had a rant the other day about how it would be a smart host strategy to be counterintuitive to the traditional methods, and thus laying low and blending in would mean posting lots and leading discussion rather than sitting back and jumping on bandwagons.

Right now it feels like the discussion is going in circles. When is the deadline again?

And I would feel better about it if you went back and got some evidence to back up your gut feeling. You're confirmed town, but it's day 3 and we should have more than gut feelings by now.

If you have a gut feeling chase it down and find posts to back up your feeling, don't just stop and accept that your gut is right.

I'm not going to comment on everyone. No comment and i'm fairly confident (as some one can possibly be in Day3) are town town.

squiggs96: My stance on squiggs has changed since my last post - I don't know if that means he changed his posting style to adjust, or more likely i'm just reading posts differently and from a different perspective sort of thing. Other than the low post count vote method (which I believe doesn't really help the towns chances of winning the game), I generally agree with squiggs and especially on post 1120 (except for putting heat on me, and peanut I suppose).

Timbo: not townie enough to not have no comment. (can't wait for a comment on this comment (comment-ception!))

East Coast Flame: Honestly, lying toooo low for scum. But I can't shift my suspicious away either. Frankly, I might just have suspicious feelings associated with the words East Coast.

devo22: Day3 really changed my opinion of Devo. I agree with Diss that the captain would not steer the ship, and I can totally see devo being the Captain. I'm going to go back to the beginning of the thread and analyze devo a bit, but i gut instinct is that devo is playing awfully carefully.

mrkajz44: back on the scum radar for me. Post 1077, he criticizes HG for being very aggressive on Diss for that rule mistake. Here's the thing. I'm town and I was extremely annoyed of how HG is being "as a matter of fact" ish with his replies... but it's just his posting style and I still beleive HG is town and trying to help... or at the very least helping. What I see mrkajz44 doing is taking another swing at HG while we are all watching everything go down. I also think mrkajz might be the scum that distances and votes against other scum.

Party Elephant - since my vote of pE, nothing has changed as thier hasn't been much activity to sway me one way or another.

I feel like I can arrogantly make the claim that at guaranteed 2/3 scum are either devo22, mrkajz44, PartyElephant, ECF, and Timbo.

As it stands, I would be down to vote for anyone on the list below. I'm not getting much satisfaction from my PartyElephant vote, so if the other four gain traction - you can count me in.

devo22
mrkajz44
PartyElephant
ECF
Timbo.

triple post to up the post count, well done if you have suspicions of me, feel free to share why (other than "gut feeling"). I was pushing a Girly lynch pretty hard on day 2, I actually wouldn't have thought that people would perceive that as "playing carefully". I haven't stepped on other people's toes as much as others have done, but I am sure trying to help find scum. On day 2, that failed unfortunately.

by the way, am I the only one who is always rolling his eyes when people post lists and put "me" in the towns list? I mean, come on

Have scum been so aggressive typically in past games? I find the agressive style makes me uncomfortable just reading it, but I wouldn't anticipate a scum to be so openly aggressive. He really is leading the charge at scum hunting. So that makes me think town.

Alright people, since a bunch of you are bugging out early on lynch day, I'll play my card. This is based on an imcomplete analysis, however, and should I complete the analysis and find the conclusion no longer holds, I will unvote.

I don't agree that if HG flips town it's a simple mistake and less than the lynching the first two townies. If HG flips town, then we have just lost the guy doing the most work. Not every lynch goes the way you want it to. Many townies get lost every game, especially early. If you are successful in leading the charge, and HG is lynched, that's a huge mistake.

It will also be a doubley big mistake if you are town. If you are town, and vote out a strong town, then you become the prime suspect for day 4. The hosts know this, so they will be willing to help support your attack, and then pounce on you the next day. If you are both town, this will suck. If one of you is a host, this is perfect. If HG flips scum, you have my unwavering support until the end. You and I worked well together last game once we stopped fighting with each other.

I am not willing to put my vote on either HG or diss at this time. I really want to see some heat put on Peanut and/or Lego.
You are right in the fact that if HG15 is also town that hurts the town big time. My problem is he has voted in favour of lynching two passengers, he is absolutely focused on leading the charge against me and I know I am town, and when I led the charge against Timbo and posted why I believed he was scum it did nothing to consider Timbo at all, he just kept at me. Something does not seem right to me there.

Can you share your analysis.

Someone has to lead charges though, day 1 there is a 3/17 chance of hitting scum. With no knowledge 5/6 times we'd hit scum. I would also bet there were some scum on scum cross votes early as well. Also scum can control who they vote for and if no scum is at risk then scum going on the contrary wagon is a good way to hide.

In the first vote everyone who voted a viable candidate voted town. It's a real reach to say that voting town twice is any indicator at this point.

I'd rather not. Given that I'm effectively confirmed town for the day, and I feel there might be enough support to get an ECF lynch through without it, I see the drawback of giving scum insight into my thought processes outweighing the benefit of potentially garnering support that I may already have.

I didn't comment on your big post on Timbo because it's not for me to explain his intentions. I want to see his comments about his actions, that would give me more insight than me trying to guess why he said what he said.

Hasn't Voted (2): Timbo, bizaro86

Voted:
Hockeyguy15 (4): Party Elephant, mrkajz44, dissentowner, Puxlut
East Coast Flame (3): GGG, SebC, Oling_Roachinen
mrkajz44 (2): East Coast Flame, devo22
dissentowner (1): Hockeyguy15,
Timbo (1): Peanut
Lego Man (1): squiggs96
Party Elephant (1): Lego Man

With 13 hours remaining it looks like we won't have a hammer coming. We do need at least 5 votes to deadline lynch. I'm hoping Timbo and bizarro both vote at some point this morning, so we can decide what to do.
