Default Where to get monitor mount?

Looking for a mount... Kinda stupid specific application - needs a long reach (like across a 27" wide CNC router reach) just for an older dell 14" LCD.

Was hoping to find something like the old clamp on ikea lights (think Pixar lamp). The only ones I'm finding - well 900$ isn't in the budget, and I'd rather it didn't have a fixed pole upright.

Anyone know where to find such a beast? Preferably not too expensive!

I've been looking for some mounts lately as well, check out Staples, they have a lot of options.

Yeah staples has one, but it doesn't reach far enough - and for 565$ I'm sure I could get something swankier machined for me

I've checked the usual ME/NCIX/Newegg/staples/ebay - most wont really reach across the table; which is a problem (or around the gantry if it happens to be in the way).

Might be expensive but I always use Chief Mounts. Been a while since I've looked at their site though.

yeah... http://www.chiefmfg.com/Products/K1D130S is the one I was eyeballing at staples, but it doesn't have the vertical or the length really... I have one of those ancient ikea lights on the other side of the cart - that's why I was thinking it's perfect - because the reach and height are right, just wont support a monitor, but the rest of it is perfect.

Monoprice has cheap monitor arms/mounts, but a quick look didn't turn up anything with 27+" reach. For an example of pricing, this wall mount has a 22.8" reach, and is only $53. This desk mount also has a 22.8" reach for $99.

Found this arm at Ergodirect in the States for $260US + shipping. 27" reach and 18" vertical adjustment.

Ok, one more. This one is $109US, has 27.5" extension and 19" height range.

Good luck!

Having just gone through a pretty exhaustive online search to find just the right monitor mount, I know wading through them can be a difficult task. Most sites aren't set up to allow you to filter for specific features of a mount.

One of the sites with decent filters is Wayfair...

http://www.wayfair.com/Computer-Mounts-C1824156.html

Unfortunately the reach isn't one of the filters. But perhaps you could start with wall mount and articulating arm.

If you can find a Chief within your specs and budget, go for it, they make excellent mounts.
