Momentum carries things a lot. Usually though if a guy like Kylington falls this far in the rankings, he's usually picked in the 20's because a team will hope that this year was an exception and that he'll figure things out. Sort of like Angelo Esposito. I could Toronto take him with their 2nd 1st maybe. It would make more sense for a team with multi firsts to take a risk, so the Flyers too?
FC's draft issue noted that Ottawa would be another potentially interesting destination with Karlsson being able to mentor him... 18 seems a bit high though considering how much variance there is on Kylington...
Not the best source but bleacher report list potential sliders and Zacha and Barzal are listed as those that could slide outside the top 10. Not sure if they would make it to 15 though. Konecny also listed who should be available when we pick.
I'd like to pick up one of Meloche, Sprong, Pilon, Carlo, or Chabot. I think Calgary has the right guys in place to fix the off ice issues some of the players have. I really want to draft Meloche though.

Deep drafts like this are awesome. Even past Eichel, I get to watch Calgary get the equivalent of a top ten pick (most years) at 15, then a Sabres pick at 21 probably equal to a low-to-mid teens most years. Then basically another first round pick at 31. Our prospect base is going to be insanity after this draft.
I'm only now starting to delve into the draft profiles of all these potential 2nd rounders and beyond. My God, this draft seems deep! Much deeper than recent drafts.
Guys like Rasmus Andersson, Zach Senyshen, Nic Meloche, Vince Dunn and many more look like talents that would have gone in the first round of recent drafts. There are going to be some serious players in the board when we pick in the 2nd round; potential top pairing Dmen and top 6 forwards. What a great year to have so many picks.
One sleeper for the 3rd round (who has been flagged by Button and THW) is Russian defenceman Vlad Gavrikov. Captained the Russian U-20s and was their top defenceman. Signed in the KHL, but he could be a steal.
I want to draft a D and I know a lot of other people do too. If we could move up and get a Proverov or Hanafin, I'm pretty sure a lot of people would be happy with it. Some people get nervous drafting a D in the first round unless that player has shown they're a great prospect.
I think the Flames need to focus on D this draft and it's a great year to do it with all of our picks.

If we go defenseman, I think we pick Roy. If we go forward, I am starting to think we pick Merkley (assuming Meier and Connor are gone). We should be able to find a 1st round faller at 45 too.

I don't think we're getting Hanifin, but if we could trade up to the 8-10ish range we might be able to get Provarov or Werenski

Looking at mock drafts and final rankings the Flames would be able to pick one of Pilon, Meloche, Roy or Carlo at the 45th pick.
If we got any of those guys in round 2 I'd pee myself

After watching this, I don't know how we pass on this kid if he's available.
Fast, tenacious, good shot, solid frame... Seems like everything Treliving and Co would be looking for
I'm trying to think of a way Connor doesn't get drafted in the 14 places ahead of us, but I just can't think of one. Unless Chabot or someone else like Svechnikov gets taken early, but I doubt that too.
Would be a fantastic pick, and I would pick him over Merkley, Konecy every time. In fact, I would pick both Connor and Barzal over those 2, but the same thing applies with Barzal. I just don't see him dropping to #15.
If the Flames want Connor (and I have a sneaky suspicion he is high on their list), they are going to have to move up. What they have to determine is if it's worth giving something up to move to #11/12/13 that is significantly better than what they would get at #15.
