		| Planning for the annual Calgary FlamesSeat Relocation Event is underway. We are currently confirming dates for the event and anticipate that it will be held in early June. Similar to last season, season ticket holders must register their account to be included in the assignment of dates and times to relocate. This will improve the efficiency of distributing times and will result in a better customer experience.
HOW THE SEAT RELOCATION EVENT WORKS You must register to receive additional information and a specified time to participate.Available inventory is held for current season ticket holders to view and relocate to. Remaining seats will be offered to the Hot House Wait List following the event. Time slots are assigned based on seniority of account (the longer you have been a season ticket holder, the earlier your assigned time will be).If you cannot participate in your assigned time slot, you can send an alternate contact in your place or you can participate in a time slot after your designated time (you cannot attend an earlier session). If you would like to relocate your seats, we simply exchange them in your account and release your previous seats into the relocation inventory.Accounts must be in good standing to participate in the event.
  SEAT RELOCATION EVENT REGISTRATION
Only accounts who register will be assigned a date and time. It's easy to register! Simply click on the button below.

DEADLINE TO REGISTER: THURSDAY, MAY 21
 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
When will the Seat Relocation Event be held?
We are currently working on confirming dates and anticipate that the event will be held in early June. To be notified of confirmed event dates including your designated time slot, please register via the link above.

How do I register to participate in the Seat Relocation Event?
Only accounts who register will be assigned a designated time slot. Simply click on the link above to register for the Seat Relocation Event.

When will I receive my date and time for relocation?
Dates and times will be assigned shortly after the registration deadline (May 21) and will be sent to you by email. Your account must be in good standing to register.

If I attend the relocation event, do I lose my existing seats?
No. Your seats are not released if you choose to attend the relocation event.

Can I relocate into a different price category?
Yes. If you are on a payment plan, we will adjust your payment schedule accordingly. If you have paid in full and your price increases, you will be required to pay the difference at the time of your relocation. If your price decreases, a refund will be provided.

Can you tell me what seats are available in advance?
Due to the ever changing inventory, we are not able to predict what seats will be available during your time slot and cannot provide seat locations in advance.

 Can I hold seats?
To make this process as fair as possible to all season ticket holders, we are unable to reserve or hold seats.

What if I cannot attend my designated time slot?
If you are unable to participate in your assigned time slot, you can assign an alternate contact to act on your behalf. You will be able to register an alternate contact when we provide you with your date and time. You can also participate in any time slot after your designated time.

Can I buy additional seats during the relocation event?
If you would like to add seats to your account, please register for a Hot House Wait List membership, available online at calgaryflames.com/hothouse

I had created a thread this am with a few questions, but nobody thus far has answered. I was starting to think I backed over everyones cat or something.
I'll just cut/paste my questions here, maybe you or others can chime in. Once I receive my email of times (etc) I'll post them up for you as well as asked.

 Thanks very much.

 Hello all.

This was my first year as a ticket holder, so I'm new to the processes and activities surrounding things such as seat relocation. I'm wondering if I can trouble a few of you to answer some questions ahead of going in.

I signed up by the May 21st deadline to be eligible for relocation, and I guess am just awaiting my email to discover my date and time. I assume this will arrive soon.

When I was called to become a ticket holder, I was online for viewing the available seats. It worked out well. In regards to seat relocation now, is this also done online, or is it still the process of going down to the Saddledome and seeing whats' available, sitting in the seats, etc.

In either format - online or in person, how much of a mad rush is it and how many are generally in the same grouping/time - any idea? I'm wondering basically how much time you have to review and compare a few sets of options before making a decision. Is it pretty much "have an idea of what you're looking for before logging in, then grab the closest available to your wants on the immediate before someone else", or is there time/consideration to seeing where you are at present in comparison to what all is available and narrowing things down in real time.

I had read in the past that going down to the Saddledome was a cool experience for this, but that its a bunch of people running all around the dome scooping up the seats. When I spoke to a friend who is a longer standing season ticket holder, he noted he spoke to the usher before going in and they discussed where he was versus what he was looking for, and the options were laid out to him for the sections he was after. If in fact you go down to the Saddleome still, how does that work then. Do you just enter and kind of free for all then, or do you speak to someone first and get ushered to your desired sections in consideration. I imagine if it's online, you just see all seats available all the same, which would be different than what he has noted as in person.

Anyway, thanks all in advance for any replies, experiences, stories, and whatever else you may contribute on point. Any information is greatly appreciated.

 All the best.

Yeah I saw your thread and it reminded me to create the thread for this year's relocation event. Was in the process of answering your questions.
Here's the link to last year's thread: http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthread.php?t=137113
Last year there was no option to go into the actual Dome and check the available seats that were marked, as in years previous. I'm not sure if that was because of the flood damage (and subsequent construction) or if they're changing the structure of the event permanently. Also there was no online login option - it was over the phone, or I think you could go to the box office but not actually into the bowls.

I had very little time to make a decision on the phone. Seats come and go all day long so it's really about luck and impossible to predict. They'll ask you what you're looking for and see what they can do at that moment. We got lucky and moved up 8 rows in the same section but the guy said that almost never happens. If I had called 2 minutes later I probably wouldn't have got them - it seems pretty random to me.

My guess is that they will no longer be doing the actual physical relocation in the bowls because just what you mentioned, that it's a mad rush. Could be wrong though.

Jmac. Know what you want going in.
You will receive a time and you will be able to either go in person or call at that time, all seniority based.

You will tell the representative what you are looking for, ie. Green, or section 202, or lower bowl, first 2 rows black, etc. If they find something that matches your request and you like, you take it. If you go in person they will put a hold on them and you can go check the seats out before committing.

If there is an on-line option, that is news to me.

 Hope that helps.

Southside/Heep, thank you both for your replies.
I'll read last years thread you linked (Heep), and see if there's anything else I can pull from that for value to answer any other questions.

This is great info and helps for sure. I'll be sure to take a peek at the seating chart and mark down a few of the options I'm looking to investigate ahead of time for consideration as noted.

 Thanks again to you both.

Next season will be my fifth. I started in the press level and had to stay there 3 years. This last season was my first in the second level. I'm curious as to when longer term season ticket holders have their relocation.

I'm June 4th. 2-245pm. Looks like I'm the caboose of this years relocation event haha. That's ok though. This is my first year as a ticket holder as earlier mentioned. I'm currently in the whites and will look to simply move down if possible.
I look forward to hearing everyone's results.

			June 4 8:00 - 8:45
This will be my 3rd season as a STH.

Hoping to move from whites (row 23) to Red 1 in either the top few rows of sections 106-111 or Red 2 either side somewhere between the goal lines.

Anyone know if seats like this typically become available and how quickly they would go? Not sure how desirable these are due to the higher price so thought I would ask if anyone has past experience with it
