Cryptic post: I was in the thread and had done the math prior to post #322. That post #322 and #323 are not mine is a record in itself. Not particularly meaningful, mind you, but a record nonetheless.

Are there any disadvantages to the Smuggler role revealing? The only way to die here is to get the spore and turn right?

Just thinking out loud because I think it might help the town of its revealed. Obviously we'd have to trust him and he'd have to prove himself but...

He can hide a person per day. Thats a huge advantage as the numbers lessen.

If turned/mafia control the spore they'd likely pass it to him if he were revealed, so yes.

Just catching up on the thread in a cab on the way to the airport. Flying to Fort McMurray tonight and in the field tomorrow and then flying back in the evening. I feel as though I need to post a detailed schedule just so you guys know why I'm quiet!!

I don't really have much else to add from my last post Monday morning. I feel like there's not much to go on at this point. Maybe it will be easier for me to form a strategy after I see how a night goes?

If they reveal, they more than likely will be given the spore if the person who has it was turned. Then it's a 50/50 shot if that person is still town.

Couldn't the smuggler just hide themselves, then? That's the way I read the smuggler description. Can hide either themselves or a passenger. So if they hide themselves they can't receive the spore. (Or am I misunderstansing?)

So the smuggler could reveal. But then I guess it would be their choice whether to hide themselves or another passenger (if they thought the spore was going to someone who needed protecting).

This, combined with the vote for girlysports makes no sense to me. I admit I'm probably not smart enough to be Sec's telepathic mason partner. However, 322 and 323 were devo saying the vote was tied 4-4 between activestick and girly, and me mentioning that 6 votes doesn't hammer, only deadline lynch.

By my math we're at activestick 6, girly 5, so I guess Seb has opened the window to someone voting girly and putting us into a tie.

I don't know where this post is going, I'm just working through the cryptic post trying to figure out what the heck he's talking about.

True, but they can only hide once so once their out there it's only a matter of time.

Oh and Peanut I think whoever the smuggler hides still gets the spore, they just are immune to turning for the night.
