As a Leafs fan I feel nothing anymore. I experience no highs and no lows. Any deal made by the Leafs I expect to turn into a steaming pile of poo. That is all.

I love how Leaf fans think this will solve all. Babcock has one playoff win in the last four years. The Leafs have had a decent bunch of coaches the past ten years. Maurice, Wilson, Carlyle. Not exactly rookie coaches who don't know what they are doing. They need to gut that core.
Babcock is a good coach but Leaf fans seem to forget that he was in a great organization with excellent management before, now he has Phaneuf and Kessell as core players and a track record of horrible management...... this deal is basically just putting lipstick on a pig......

That Detroit team the last few years hasn't been that talented. The Wings are coasting on achievements from long ago.
I don't know, Babcock should probably have the exact same success with the leafs as he did with the wings. I mean going from Datsyuk and Zetterberg to Phaneuf and Kessel isn't that big of a change, well at least that's what a couple of insufferable leaf fans have said
I started to think if Babcock was really as good as he seems. Sure, he's had success with Team Canada but it was an all star team and he won the cup with the wings but he had a stacked team. I still think he's a really good coach but I don't think he can make an average team good let alone a bad team like the leafs.
I'm just going to enjoy watching the leafs suck for a few more years.

I see the front and not the back. As I said I don't recall the jersey having the coach name on it.
What you are seeing is the main philosophical difference between the Flames and the Oilers. With the Grease it's all about the name on the back. The Flames on the other hand, it's all about that Crest on the front.

LOL, awesome BT. Awesome. Bowman won the cup as Head Coach 9 times. He changed the way teams played and won constantly and not always with a stacked team. But no you're right....

Have you ever viewed the rosters for those 9 cup winning teams? His accomplishments are as impressive as Phil Jackson.
Your point was you were knocking Babcock's success with "All-Star" Teams. A mute could have coached the 70's Habs teams to cup wins.
