Woman gives birth while on plane
Interesting story from a couple days ago: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/britis...ents-1.3071595
In case you haven't heard already, a woman and her boyfriend (both Canadian) gave birth on a flight from Vancouver to Japan while being assisted by doctors who happened to be on the plane. She didn't know she was pregnant before flying. She said "something just fell out of me". I assume the baby will be given Canadian citizenship as the flight originated in Canada, but she mentioned the baby was born while flying over Russia.
Now she is raising money to pay for a $2,000 medical bill related to the pregnancy.

I was expecting orca fat since she didn't know she was pregnant, but she seems fairly average sized. Not sure how she didn't notice getting bigger or missing her period for 9 months.

How do you not know you're pregnant
Even if you're 300 lbs, wouldn't you notice not menstruating for 8 months?

From the story.

A lot of women continue to have periods while pregnant. Some women have light periods to begin with and they aren't always regular. If this lady had an irregular period and it was usually light, it wouldn't really be missed if you were still spotting.
Apparently not knowing you're pregnant is about as common as being pregnant with triplets.

I have a friend in AUS that had no idea she was pregnant until the baby started emerging, lol. She had PCOS, so she never ever had regular menstrual periods. She had some weird movement, went to the doctor, doctor said it was IBS and related to the PCOS, never thought to even try a pregnancy test, as they'd had to do IVF just to get pregnant with their first 2 children (again, the PCOS). She also didn't gain weight. In fact, she was in the middle of a weight loss program as she had previously been quite obese and she lost more than 25 lbs during the pregnancy she didn't know about. Baby was a total surprise - born absolutely healthy as all get out. She's now pregnant with their 4th - this one they know about LOL.

Wasn't it a Calgary to Tokyo flight?

Haha, what a great advertisement for Clear Blue.
"Clear Blue, accurately detect pregnancy from home........or maybe you'll pop out a baby on a plane. Either way you'll eventually find out you are/were pregnant, use Clear Blue!!!!!"

She was killed after months of abuse. What pathetic sentences we have. Only 14 years to murder a toddler.
Not from the birth father but from the idiot mother's new boyfriend. She should get the same sentence!

She died alone in her room on May 15, 2020.
"It is difficult and heart-wrenching to assess the harm that Chloe endured over months, particularly over her final week. No child should endure any of what Chloe suffered," Roger told the sombre courtroom.
He called the photos of the mattress and bedsheets she spent her final hours in "upsetting, with most everything covered in excrement and vomit which had been left there for some time. The harm is great and unimaginable," he said.
"She must have wondered why this was happening, and she must have suffered great distress that nothing was done."

Ummm, are you making child abuse jokes over a Canucks hat... on the heels of an article about said child dying due to actual abuse and neglect?
