Default Well kiddies that's it that's all

the players are all jetting off to parts unknown to start their long off season, the locker room is empty now.

The equipment is getting packed up, the ice is going to be coming out.

The Management team is going to retreat to their offices to get ready for the draft and the free agent frenzy.

the coaches are going to sleep in, wake up late, spend times with their families and try to relax.

As fans we're left with an empty feeling, much later then previous years, no hockey isn't over for the year, but it isn't hockey that we are emotionally invested in, its just hockey that we watch without the same level of passion that we feel when the Flames comes out of the tunnel and light the Sea of Red on fire.

Nothing is left now except for speculation, and opinions and hopes for next year, this year is now over.

thanks to Bingo and the Crew for giving us a great place to play and an even better place to share, to bicker, to brag, to celebrate and commiserate.

Thanks to every member of this place for your contributions and your humor and wit and your insight.

It was a great season, a season that ended too abruptly.

Training camp is too far away.

I know that next years team will be different, players with different numbers, favorites gone and forgotten, but the Flames will rise again, and light our hockey passions on fire.

I ended up on this forum because I found some information I was looking for, regarding a news story and I stuck around for that. I liked hockey a bit but I wasn't a fan. Not a true fan. I started reading a lot of the FOI threads and learning a few little things and then.......the bug bit. I still don't have the knowledge base most of you have, and probably never will but holy hell, I'm loving it so much now. I'm sad that the Flames are out and now I don't want to watch a thing until the Flames are back on the ice. My previously anti-hockey daughter is now becoming an avid fan, and has asked a few times "what does CP say about........." So I second CC's thanks to Bingo and the mods for providing a great site and I appreciate those who have answered my questions in PMs about certain aspects of the game.

Great post CC. I too want to thank Bingo and crew for a great site to share. There is always something going on here. The official Flames board is a joke LOL.

What a great year it's been.

A CP member told me about this place. I've been a fan since 89 season when the Flames won the cup and it was nice to find an avenue to read about fan reaction. Back in the day I was a lurker. The board was a lot smaller back then, and I believe I had just started lurking shortly after the board switched to this format. It wasn't until 04 that I decided to join the discussion due to the Flames making the playoffs.

And now the onslaught of player videos begins for me.

Finishing my last 13/14 video now (Kris Russell), then I'll start to churn out the 14/15 videos.
Gaudreau, Mono, Hudler, Gio, Brodie, Bouma, Backlund, Rookies, Colborne, Russell, Ferland. That's my plan of attack.

Welp, at least there's no moon this year to crap all over this amazing team. Pulling for them in the offseason and also the doctors that have to fix them!

I am actually looking forward for the Flames clearance sale sometime in the next 3-4 weeks.

Also the draft and the July 1 free agency day.
