There's a few teams that could use a Ramo. Edmonton, Arizona, Buffalo, Columbus (he could challenge Bob I think). A lot of teams would have a better backup with him as well. The same applies to Hiller.

Did anyone's feed crap out and them come back in full chipmunk mode? Everything was slightly sped up and voices were quite a bit higher than normal. Drove me crazy for the last couple of minutes.

I know there's a Jay Feaster appreciation thread but I don't think Treliving gets enough props. I love hearing him talk hockey, dude is so smart and calculated and I have total faith in his ability to bring defined careful growth to the Flames. Stark contrast to Feaster who I also liked, but sounded like a doofus who said too much sometimes.
I had the chance to talk to Treliving at Cowboys last stampede and he had a half hour conversation with my buddy and I about their approach to the draft and answered questions about players that we were curious about, just really awesome of an NHL GM to be so generous with his time. For all the positive things for this team going forward I consider Treliving to be in the top ten.

Bobrosky the Vezina winning goalie? disagree that Ramo could push for Bob's job. And I think they have a couple of young goalies primed to earn that back up spot too. And I don't think CLB is going to go shopping for a goalie like that as they've invested greatly into Bobrovsky. And Ramo will want a better chance. So I think that will eliminate ARZ as well. Leaving EDM and Buffalo in the market for a Ramo.

Yes, Bob the vezina winner. They've been pretty disappointed since then.

They don't run the team. In the end I think it stands, CLB won't be shopping for a goalie.

BTW It sounds like Potter won't be back. Not really a big loss, but in Potter's exit interviews Hartley said he outlined the reasons why they decided to play Wotherspoon over him. They thought both players were pretty close but chose Wotherspoon because it was better for today and tomorrow

Yeah, given the backups, I think you are right and I was wrong.
I also think Ramo as a UFA would want a chance to start. And he may not re-sign without some control over trades, just because he'd be afraid of signing and being traded to a team that would use him solely as a backup.
Buffalo is his best bet - the situation is wide open.

This assumes Buffalo is going to, you know, try.
