Wait, yeah, Jenna used to work at Celgar. I'm pretty sure she is either the same age as me, or a year older.

Those are the Coe's I knows.
Nice. Jenna is my girlfriend haha

Upon doing some Facebook research, I realised I'm more familiar with Jenna than I am Cameron. I know Tianna fairly well.

I'm also a Sydney native (well Sydney River).

First hockey game I ever saw was while I was visiting my grandparents as a child. I thought it looked cool, picked the team whose symbol was a C with fire as opposed to the team whose symbol was a C with an H in it. But, I said I'd cheer for whoever won that game.

Flames won that game.

When I got to school the next morning, I informed my classmates of my decision.

I had no concept that everyone else in school was a Habs fan. Everyone thought I was trolling and just being a ######. I was told if I was a Flames fan I'd have to be hardcore, and they I was explained what that meant.

I agreed. I'd be a Flames fan forever.

And I have been. Ever since.

All because the Flames happened to be playing the game on TV that my grandparents were watching while I happened to be visiting.

On an unrelated note, that game was May 25, 1989. The Flames won the cup when they won that game. I had no idea what the Stanley Cup was, let alone that they could win it that night. If the Habs won that game (and subsequently lost to Calgary in game 7, I'd be a Habs fan).

Anyway, been a Flames fan since May 26, 1989 (I say I've been a Flames fan longer than anyone on the planet who hasn't seen them win it all).

Been a member of this forum since January 25, 2004. So far I've only met one other poster, but that should change in 3.5 weeks.

I live in Sweden as you might guess from my username. In a small town called Sala, located 40 Km north of Backlunds home town; Vasteras

Iīve been a fan since Loobs days in the mid 80īs. But like many other Europeans I had much troubble getting info back in the days. Itīs a different story nowadays. The time difference is a bitch though. Home games start 3AM for me. Stupid work that takes time from my hockey...
Highlight of being a fan (besides The cup in 89) was the trip to the Holy land with my friend in autumn -05. Watched two games in the Dome (two wins), were a guest at the FAN960 and got som "fame" in the streets of Calgary because of our Swedish flag-capes.
Great memories. Thank for making us feel welcome back then.

GO FLAMES FO!!!!

From Karlskrona, Sweden. Also the Håkan Loob-connection, as he used to play for my hometown team. I just transfered my support across the pond. Been a fan since the late 80īs, on CalgaryPuck/Fire on Ice since 98-99, something....

We should definitely do that, I'm sure we could find somewhere that would let us do that.

England. My story of following the Flames isn't really that glamarous; I'm half Canadian anyway, and lived over in Vancouver for the first 5-or-so years of my life (unfortunately I was born over here as my mum and dad left it too late in the pregnancy to fly back!)

My Mum's got some family in Calgary, and that's where she lived for a portion of her life so ever since I was a kid, I had a Flames influence.

I'd be down for that. Live in Leicester at the minute but I'd make the commute - only 2 hours!

I'm a Calgarian and my family still has our season's tickets. I moved to Brazil in 2010 and have spent the last year in Vevey, Switzerland. It's been rough waking up at 3 or 4am on every day game but anything for the Flames! I'll probably move back to Brazil later this year.

From Stockholm, Sweden. Flames fan since 89, back in the days I followed the team trough box scores in the newspaper two days after the game. Thanks to internet and on demand streaming you can now follow the team as you lived over there which is just great and itīs almost hard to remeber how hard it was to find a telecast of a Flames game just ten years ago! Teletext was the best source for such a long time.

That's cool. I'm only here until the end of June before returning to Canada.
