I think he projects to be more of a Hal Gill, if he makes the NHL.

Or put a Raymond jersey on him and hope no one notices.

From looking at the pictures I'd say Raymond is a little bit taller, but that could just be the hair...

That's pretty funny.

Although these pictures aren't the great for my points, I occasionally get Raymond and Colborne mixed up.

Disagree, there is no real order with the Flames it seems. Last year at this time Jooris had little to no chance at making the team and here he is. Many players on our team have shown unbeleivably rapid progression (e.g. Jooris, Gaudreau, Weidman, Colborne, Ferland, Bouma), no reason to think Kanzig can't make the team next year. He simply needs to put in the work and do the necessary things to get his skating there. I'm not saying he will for sure, just that there's no ruling anybody out.

Keegan could hide Mason inside his armpit.

Doesn't really fit that bill either... more physical (although similar offense). In an ideal world he'd turn into a tougher version of someone like Roman Polak. I'll save the most likely scenario to avoid a debate.

I think there is a greater chance that he becomes a Chris Breen than a Hall Gill. He is still very green and needs lots of work.

Yeah, I wouldn't even expect to see him in the AHL next year, never mind the NHL. This prospect has a very long ways to go.

He will almost certainly be in Stockton next season.

Looks like there will be a ton of bodies down there on D next season, Kanzig could very easily end up in the ECHL, much the same way Kulak started there this past season.

Yeah, In my opinion Kanzig is closer to the E than the N. We have quite a few bodies in the minors already, especially if they give Potter another deal.

I'm almost certain they'll be some deals/trades made for an NHL D-man this summer, which means that Schlemko or Diaz become our new insurance policy (assuming they are willing to sign, knowing they'll mostly play AHL minutes).

We'd have to be truly decimated, post-deadline for Kanzig to be considered. One man's opinion.

I didn't think Wolf should have played game 2, but lo, he did.

I'm sure they are just letting him hang around the big club for experience, but there will now be tons of people hoping he draws in to smash Getz and Perry.

Problem being, Kanzig probably is a poorer skater than Wolf is. Leave it at that.
I very much disagree with this part.

Thing is, you just never know with these kids who are physical specimins but don't have some of the technical skill right now. Sometimes they blossom quickly.

On this team, hockey IQ is the premium, so that's the real question for me about Kanzig.
