Have them make her hand made Mother's Day cards, you buy her flowers and then take everyone out for a family dinner

Flowers are good, dinner is good, but if you drop her off and pick her up from the spa (even if it isn't a massage, if it's a petticure or manicure, drop her off 30 minutes early and show up ~30 after the appointment), she gets her 'me' time in luxurious fashion (robe, slippers, iPhone and tea before, nice long shower / steam room afterwards). Then, when you pick her up, have some mini Crave cupcakes waiting.

Trust me, she'll love it.

What the sh***t do i get the mother of my kids for mothers day from them (3 of them)? I'm not looking to bust out hundreds of dollars and I'm looking for something where she can relax (she doesn't do massages).

Thoughts? Ideas? Ways i can cheat and pretend I have these wonderful ideas?
The older two are old enough to pick something out themselves. Even the 3 year old can do it to a certain degree.

Just give some reminders/guidance about the type of things mom likes, keep the gift small and they'll do just fine.

And the wife will love it.

Going to get my wife a couple of big trees. Kids can help plant them. We live on an acreage and she's been pining for some (see what I did there) ever since we moved.

Just cook them all a really nice brunch. Do some waffles, eggs, toast and bacon and buy a fruit platter or something. Buy some tea samplers from Davids or Teavana and you're good to go!

Sleep in and take your time getting up and ready for the day on Sunday. Its mothers day after all, so she probably wants to spend time with the kids that make the day special, right?

Then don't forget to call your actual mother.

Yeah I've even named them: Heidi Pine and Concelia spruce. Hopefully she'll get the hint!

Let her sleep in. Make a nice breakfast for the family (pancakes or eggs and bacon or similar). Then take the kids and let her do whatever she wants for the day. Maybe make dinner too, if you can swing it.

Maybe I'm an abnormal Mom but all I really want is a few cute homemade things from the kids and a day off. Yoga. Coffee in a coffee shop by myself. Maybe some shopping or a bike ride. The key is... Whatever I want. And alone. And that's free!!
