Gonna go ahead and say that Khadr's laywer was completely offside with his comments toward Harper. All I could think of when listening to them was how the easiest way for someone always searching for bigotry to find what he seeks is to look in a mirror.

I realize I should already know this, but, bail? I thought he would be granted for parole. Does Canada not recognize the US military conviction, or was he never actually convicted of anything? A bit confused, as I would think "bail" means he is still facing charges.

The guy was good in his interview today. Will win a lot of fans with that.
I'd be very interested to watch a 2 hour in depth interview with the guy (or read the inevitable ghost written autobiography). For a guy stuck in a cell for half of it, he's lived an interesting life.

I agree, those comments were shocking from a Canadian lawyer, he sounded Scottish.
From the government's perspective, they have to do all they can to show due diligence in this matter. The artical did say he has to wear a "security bracelet", can that be removed?

I think the lawyer might regret calling the PM a bigot to the press. Law society wouldn't approve of that if a complaint was filed.
