So, this confirms that Giordano isn't human, right?

If he's taking full contact (which I have my doubts) that means he's medically cleared for play. If he is medically cleared for play, then he will be in the lineup 100% guaranteed. There is no doubt in my mind he remained in great physical shape, and He is our best player.
It may appear to Jermain that he is taking full contact, but it might not be true. I am hoping Jermain is right though.

What colour jersey is Giordano wearing, that is the question.
Doubt we see Ferland back any time soon if he's not practicing.

No. Taking hits isn't going to affect him if the survey is healed. The bigger problem is how effective the biceps is after not being used at all for 2 months and the atrophy that likely happened.
If I had to guess, I'd guess contact isn't the reason he hasn't been cleared to play. Strength and coordination likely is

They appear to have grafted the remains of Daymond Langkow onto Gio's titanium exoskeleton.
Someone needs to photoshop Gio with the terminator's robotic arm.

I'll take a Gio with a bum arm over Wotherspoon or Potter.

Unfortunately, Jermaine tweeting Gio "taking contact" /= Gio cleared for full contact IMO.
If Gio is cleared for full contact, I think that means he's cleared by the doctors and it's just a matter of regaining strength in order to be 100%. Of course, Gio at 80% is still a very attractive option -- I just don't think he's there yet.

Not me. If he can't pass or shoot, there's an extra defender to over man someone else

I don't see how you can be cleared for just halfsies contact?
One mistake by someone and being hit too hard could derail his return. Don't think they'd take that risk.

I drool at the prospect of having a healthy lineup.
Gaudreau - Monahan - Hudler
Bennett - Backlund - Colborne
Bouma - Stajan - Jones
Ferland - Jooris - Bollig
Giordano - Brodie
Russell - Wideman
Schlemko/Diaz - Engelland

No, because he would be absolutely targeted by the Ducks and likely re-injured.
If he can't clear the puck with a sharp blast around the boards, then he isn't able to be a blueliner this series.
Now....if we wanted to dress him as a LW for the checking line, then the need for the blast around the boards isn't as great...

If both he and Bouma manage to make it back this series, I'm not sure who you'd even take out. Raymond has been good (not great) and Jooris gives you really good energy/speed/grit on the fourth line and PK.
|
Raymond and Granlund no question. They've been decent, but their skills are replaced by both of them with the added bonus of size and grit.
Having one back would be excellent, having both back I think could be the difference in having an opportunity to win this thing.
And if Gio by some super warp of technology, time and space can end up in the line up, well that's just terrific.

It's funny you drool at this whereas at the beginning of the year, most people (including CP) would raise an eyebrow at that lineup and say yikes, I hope we can avoid the basement.
I love how things turned around

Scoring Winger

Really liked Raymond last game.. a few times he was the only one that made things happen in the offensive zone when the Flames we on their heels, but he still is on a cold streak scoring wise. I'd rest Ferly for sunday and have Bouma and Raymond in tomorrow.

"Day-to-day." - Bouma, when asked about his status. He skated with the team this morning.

Oh the news of Bouma returning makes me positively giddy. Couple that news with Giordano making serious progress and I am officially having a Flamesgasm.
