I didn't even realize there was a person named "Lil Jon", but now that I know, it makes total sense. It's a decent hype song regardless, but the name of the artist tops it off. (I have heard the song in movies though)
It's a little more relevant these days to Johnny B Goode, but I don't see why they can't use both when it relates to Gaudreau (not at the same time obviously).

They actually played Johnny B Goode right after Johnny scored. Followed that up with some Lil' Jon.
I love that Johnny never does that stupid "going down on one-knee, then upper cut" celebration that so many players do these days. I swear the Oilers, especially Eberle, do it after every damn goal.

Turn Down for What was timed perfectly last night. Everyone was juuuust starting to quiet down a bit after the goal announcement then the chorus dropped and everyone went off. Unreal.
They also dropped Lil Jon - Bend Ova at one point

So you're saying he was acting like an amateur in those pictures?
Kind of like some of the Oilers?
I'm not trying to defend the Oilers. Some of those over-the-top celebrations on trivial goals are painful. Table 5 has expressed his distaste for simple celebrations in the past and I was just trying to give him a little shot and show him even our very own Wunderkin is over-the-top sometimes. A fist pump, or a one knee slide, IMO, are warranted on big goals.

To anyone who was there, what was being thrown on the ice, and why were people throwing things on the ice? I thought that was pretty stupid. We'd already thrown a bunch of stuff after the disallowed goal and a second time could have cost us a penalty.

Not saying it hasn't happened for Johnny in the NHL since I haven't researched it but I like how you took a picture doing that type of celebration when he was playing in college when we're comparing it to Edmonton player's NHL celebrations.
I'm sure if you look up most player's celebrations from junior, college etc. they'd be over the top at that point in their lives.
Oh, is that the joke...that Edmonton isn't an NHL team?

I wouldn't care if Johnny rode his stick across the ice old school rodeo style lol.
But that is the kind of the thing that could only be pulled off for OT to knock off a team.
If he did that I would be crying with laughter just because the kid is infectious.
Personally I love his all business goal celebrations he is so full of piss and vinegar after he scores.
Playing Turned down for what was perfect.
At the dome you could barley hear them playing Johnny B good the crowd overtook the moment. Absolutely electric.
I said to my 11 yr old daughter you will remember this night forever. She said it was as exciting as one her favorite rides at Disneyland when Johnny scored.
For me this was right up there with game 6 vs Van.
Getting back to Johnny there is something magical about this guy.
I doubt Johnny does fancy celebrations in his career, he seems to be more of the quiet guy in the locker room. Plus everytime he scores a big one or the team does somthing big, he just jumps up and down haha
